I got the Prolongwear NC15 and its perfect for Winter. I'd like the N18 for summer. A LOT. Has anyone tried the new gel based formula? Is this like a cream to powder? Really, really curious about this, guess I will have to go and get personally in touch. I am such a tactile girl. For me, foundation is all about texture! I would love one that lasts like Prolongwear but is creamier and less mask-like.
you mean the mineralize spf 15 that's been out for a year? no, its not a cream-to-powder (and neither is tech for those that are curious). it stays creamy on the face. sadly, none of mac's foundations (aside from F&B as it too is tranfer-resistant) will wear like prolongwear does.

I do use a mattifier. For me Avons Magix Face perfector works better, That helps but after a couple hours its back shiny :(

I'm in need for a new powder. For those in the know, should I wait for these or get msfn (I've never used msfn, but hear great things about it)? I have dry skin by the way, so I use the Mineralize spf15
thanks everyone

GET MSFN!!!! :) It's my HG powder, because the finish doesn't look powdery at all, the colour is just right, it makes my skin look flawless and it lasts me forever! I use mine at least once a day without fail and it lasts me over a year. :) I bet it would be gorgeous over your foundation! This stuff seems to stay creamy and functions as a foundation rather than a cream-to-powder. I'm sure they would work beautifully together, actually!

I agree. The MSFN is the best powder I have come across even with my oily skin. It gives me a dimentional matte finish if that makes sense.

looking forward to trying NW46 or NW48 cause I like SFF, but I dislike NW45 and NW47 runs very red/orange on me. SFF is a nice builable formula. I would love to find a perfect color. Are these new colors limited? I hope not. limited colors in foundation makes not sense to me.

I LOVE MSFN! Its my go to in the cooler months cause I am very oily when it gets hot and MSFN just melts. I am going to give this new powder a try cause it might be perfect for when the weather is warm! Select Sheer is a fav of mine too.

Does anyone have more info on the technology behind this new powder? I may even break down and get a 150 brush at this time too.

Hey GucciGirl, Have you tried Smashbox Anti-Shine? It's in a tube and seriously last forever. I've had mine more than a year and still have tons. I got a sample from Sephora after hearing about it and it just takes a tiny bit and it really does keep my olies at bay. I put it on and let it set for just a sec and then my foundation. If it feels like it is balling up then you've used too much. And that sample lasted my for a month or more.

I don't think I have tried it yet. I will take a look when I go back to Sephora. Thanks!!

I am very excited now. I'm going to grab one with my Lightfully Bright l/g haul.

I love my foudation, but it still looks off somehow. In certain light it looks slightly darker. In my bathroom it seems right, but outside it looks slightly darker. My fiance said he couldnt tell but said it does look slightly darker when I pointed it out (were in the truck outside). Am I overanaylizing? Maybe the lighter MSFN will balance it out?
