Does anyone know if the shades correspond to the MSFN shades? And if so, what do you think would be the best shade for an NC44/45? Thanks!

Hey guys! I went and got this powder yesterday with the new Viva Glam Gaga lippies and can I say I loooooove this powder!!! My boyfriend actually said that he liked my skin today and I had nothing else on my face but this! I was told all this time that I wear deep dark MSFN but I found out yesterday that I am actually a Dark. In this powder I wear Dark Deep (its backwards in this powder). The dark was definately too lite and a little ashy looking for my NW45 skin. The MUA told me that if the MSFN made me oily then this would make me oilier because its derived from their careblend oils but I havent noticed any problems with oil during my test drive period. BUT I also switched my moisturizer and decided to try the MAC Oil Control Lotion so that could also be helping. But this powder to me has a beautiful finish. At the counter the MUA tried the MSFN on one side and the Careblend Powder on the other side and other ladies and artist were saying that the new powder looks more natural. She also hit me off with a blast of fix+ and it looked amazing. I will still use my MSFN but this powder is definately a tie for me......so far :)

Side note: I loooooooove VGG2 with BBQ lipliner. The lipglass definately tones down the Tyrone Biggum-ness of the lipstick. Love the formula too. I also picked up the False Lash Mascara and I am not a big fan of MAC mascara with the exception of Zoomfast Blacklash but I like the way this makes my lashes look. It seems like it may take a long time to dry/set on the lashes though IMO.

I tried the new powder & it is such a lovely finely milled silky texture with light to med. coverage. I even used it under my eyes & it looked very nice. I really want to get it but am afraid of it breaking me out. My MUA says that she has oiler skin & has no problems with this at all. She loves it.

The colors are very different form the MSFNs
So does that mean if you're NW15 and would use the MSFN in Light (which I want to try but haven't yet) that the Studio CareBlend powder in Light is different?

I wish there were some swatch comparisons.

Not sure about the lighter colors. I know Dark and Deep Dark in MSFN look very different from their Studiocareblend counterparts

Checked out the powder again. Still nothing to write home about. The Dark Deep is not that dark. Dark Deep runs on the red side
I'll just stick to my beloved Select Sheer in NW50, which surprisingly does not run on the red side. Its brown.

Is the Careblend powder light enough to be used as a finishing powder over foundation? I'm currently using MSF in Dark, I want to order it online but I can't get a good idea of how these colors are running. I know someone just said it's running red, so I'm not sure if the Careblend powder in Dark would work for me.

Edit:Just watched your vid GucciGirl it was so helpful! It looks so nice,I know you said you're oily and it didn't make it worse but I'm a little scared as my skin recently became oily this year. Ah well back to MSF for me.

So I ordered my powder online on Saturday night and this morning I get an email for Free Express Shipping for Family day and I wanted to change my order to that, which I've done before. But I couldn't get through over the phone because they are closed for Presidents Day in the US. Since I called the Canadian number shouldn't I still be able to get through and if there is free express shipping to Canada how is it possible if no ones around? I am sorry but this really ticks me off! Don't send me emails MAC if you can't even do what it says in them! So basically they send all Canadians emails for free express shipping then they can't even use?

Edit: My misktake on one thing I guess Family day is a holiday in Canada (only in ON, SKS, AB) but still why send an email for express shipping if it's not possible? I'm confused.

For the fairer ladies that are trying to find the right shade, I will advise that this is a very sheer powder, so any of the lighter shades will be just fine. I am NW20 and I got Medium, but Light would have worked just as well. I hope that helps.
