MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

I just got Intenso in the mail today! It is very pigmented like everyone was saying. I still have to compare it to Merrily. I think it's a lot more shimmery though.

I also got Springsheen, it's sooo pretty! But I'm still sad that I didn't get Moon River

How is the peachy glow of hot planet different than the peachy glow of Earth to Earth? And if you only used the plum side of hot planet, what color do you get? Because on my finger it was a dirty plum which made me not interested in it. It resembled Flirt n Tease which does not work for me as a cheek color.

I agree. The packaging of Style Warriors hurts my eyes so much that I don't even want to look at purple rite which is the only thing I might have been interested in from there. I am sure Iam skipping it.

Can't you get Solar Riche or Refined Golden in regular black MAC packaging because it's in the perm line? I've heard great things about it, so you can just get that now

I had NO interest in these until I saw them in person, now I have 3, Grand Duo, Hot Planet, and Earth to Earth. While they look super shimmery in the pan, they don't look as shimmery on the skin. I was pleasantly surprised at how pigmented they are - I've been using the 187 and a very light hand. All in all, I'm glad I got these.

Horrendous was Neo Sci-fi, it was shocking bright neon orange but I don't think bronzey/gold zig/zags qualifies as horrendous they did a previous Raqual Welch that was black/gold print, now that was jungle, IMO.

Moon river would give you a gorgeous light shimmer pink glow/highlight! I loves it :]

Love rock isnt similar to gentle, love rock is more similar to plesantry from last years sonic chic. I think gentle is similar to grand duo, but grand duo has a darker pigmentation! I'm still debating whether i want grand duo.. it sort of reminds me of flirt n tease blush.

Personally i loved earth to earth, moon river, and light over dark. But theres been a lot of love for love rock and hot planet! Love rock and hot planet are both super pigmented. I'm not one for bold colors so i like the more subtle/natural look of earth to earth and moon river

As you have been told many times, I would love to see your collection. I bet it is FABU. Do people still use Fabu for fabulous or am I showing my age, I can't keep up with the kids sometimes.

Hot planet has a brighter, more pinker glow while Earth to Earth has a more muted, neutral, browner glow. Both are very pretty. I think it's best to swirl your brush into both sides of Hot Planet together before applying, instead of just the plum side, prettier effect with the color that way

How similar do you think Tippy with Blonde MSF over it would compare to Love Rock? Similar enough to not justify getting Love Rock?
