MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

Hi everyone

, haven't had much computer time lately. Ok here is what I got, Hot Planet, Grand Duo and Intenso. Moon River was beautiful, but it did not show up on me at all even though I am between NC15 and NC20 according to MA's at Mac. Love Rock was gorgeous, but I find that kind of pink on me does not look good. The MA's keep telling me Grand Duo will not look good on me because of my warm golden tones..but I bought it anyway and just love it.

Just wonderng if anyone has had this happen to them at a Mac counter, but the girls were making fun of me when I was buying makeup. My son who was with me that day, noticed it and pointed it out to me. Geesh, I am only in my 40's not 80's buying this makeup. Anyway just had to vent somewhat because it kinda bothered me a little afterwards.

Feeb: That is plain wrong!! MAC is for all ages, races and sexes.

No excuse for that kind of behaviour, they work for the company, they know it's mantra. Sorry you had to experience it.

Why were they making fun of you? That's stupid- my mother-in-law wears MAC and I know a lot of people over 50 who wear it. If you like it and feel good about yourself, that's all that matters. Who cares what they think?!? Anyone who has to belittle others to make themselves feel better is insecure and unhappy in their own life. Have fun with your purchases

I was shopping at M.A.C. when I was 12 ( I'm 15 and I still do )
My mom shops there, she's about 45.

chickatthegym, to tell you the truth I don't know because I always go to that counter and thought the girls were all so nice and helpful. when I was swatching Grand Duo I asked if this color would look good on me as I only have one pink blush Tippy..she said if you want to look like a clown then buy it. I did buy Grand Duo because I love the color and thought who cares. There was some other comments but I don't really remember them because I was in a hurry.

Earth to Earth and so is Light over dark. are both beautiful..great for summer as bronzers

That is so unprofessional. If I were you, I would go and swatch things, make a list of what I like and then order it online instead, just so that they don't make commision. And if they ask why you're longer buying you can tell a manager why. That is so rude!! My mom is 58 and she still sometimes wears makeup. She went out Friday night and I put butternutty S/S on her and perfect topping MSF and she looked so pretty! And liked them so much that she took mine and gave me some money to buy them back for myself!

I have grand duo also and absolutely love it! My mom is around NC20 also and I've put it on her and both she and I thought it looked really good, she just prefers to use her lipstick as her blush instead of a mineral or powder blush.

I wore Moon River yesterday.. Hardly any color showed up on me (NC35) although I was using a mini kabuki brush that usually packs on the color, but maybe that's because I layered the marbelized part over the solid part on my cheeks. Oh well. I definitely did not see the peachy-pink color that showed on Geeko's cheek swatch. It will look good on fairer skintones IMO, on me it's more of just a glowy sheen. I might use it to layer over my blushes instead.

Yes, you NEED Hot Planet.

I'm very happy with the two I got, Love Rock and Hot Planet.
And who said I needed Hot Planet because I love Corals? Whoever said that, I LOVE THEM. <3

And actually, that's not a Frost lipstick. It's a glaze... NONE OTHER THAN... LOLLIPOP LOVIN! <3

Glad that Hot Planet complements LL (I will be getting it from Sugar Sweet)

Is Hot Planet comparable to any other blushes?
