I totally think you should reward yourself and purchase a new lippie or something for every 3 months or year or month (you decide) you are smoke free. You deserve it!

The more swatches i see, the fewer things i want. Whew!
Color Collection : Gentrified Fluidline maybe - i need to test it on myself; Pressed Pigments are down to 1 yes and 2 maybes, pending tests; and Just Jewels nail polish.
Keepsakes Collection : Plum Eyes Palette... maybe
Object of Affection : Gold/Beige or Pink/ Rose pigment-and-glitter set... need to see more swatches
That's 7 things and only 2 are definite. That feels good, knowing i'm not going to go crazy with these.
This year i did go a bit crazy, but only on 3 collections: Alluring Aquatic, A Novel Romance, and Artificially Wild. I got a thing or two from some other collections, but comparatively modest. And several months i bought nothing.
I need to reduce my spending more because next year i have been invited to Australia (i've never been there) for one month to teach. It's a not-for-profit educational org. (one of the things i do in my spare time, a "hobby") and, altho they are paying for my plane ticket, i am not otherwise getting paid, so i need to save up a little for incidental expenses. About 1-1/2 weeks will be camping. Then several people have offered to put me up on spare beds for a week or so each. I'll only have to pay in-country travel, food, and any fun things i want to do.
I hope MAC's 2015 collections don't interest me much !

I gave my mom my Rebel not too long go and felt iffy about taking it back but.... the packaging on this sucked me right back in!

I like the sound of a "matte frost" but its reminding me too much of VGR1 which doesn't pull well on me.

I pretty much just want the Viva Glam Riri bag and the gold pigment set. The lipsticks really aren't doing much for me now that I've seen swatches. I have similar reds in the stash.

I went down to my local MAC store this AM for the Matte Lip Collection. Got Bespoken For lipliner and Styled in Sepia and Living Legend lipsticks as expected, and Fashion Revival which i hadn't been so sure about - so i put it on my lips and i liked it!
They were also taking pre-orders on the Heirloom Keepsakes Collection. They had all the palettes and lip and eye bags. After checking out the Plum Eyes palette, i pre-ordered it. I have a lot of violet, lavender, purple, and plum eyeshadows (Team Purple, after all), but most of the colors in the palette i don't have. I especially like the light and medium grey-mauve shadows.
They expect the rest of the holiday collections in a few days, so i can go back and check out stuff, particularly the Pressed Pigments, and make up my mind.

They had actual products. That's how i knew i wanted the plum eyeshadow palette. i mean, on this board i have plenty of pictures and descriptions, and i won't be sure about some things until i get to test them.

It depends on the location. We were never allowed to show customers the actual products, only the pre-order book with colour pictures. But i thought that was BS, so i would always show customers some of the items, even tho they weren't allowed to swatch the. I took the risk.
