I've noticed that, except for Temptalia and Karen, none of the places that have reviewed this collection swatched Tribalist. Wonder what's up with that (because that's the one I'm most curious about).

I really like to a see some more swatches of Tribalist. There has to be a review somewhere... Found it... http://www.temptalia.com/mac-heirloom-mix-lipsticks-reviews-photos-swatches

Yeah she's one of the ones I mentioned. She says it's very slippery for an Amplified formula lipstick, which is making me hesitate. Pure Heroine was the same way and I hate that lipstick due to the formula issues. Wonder if MAC is having issues with that formula.

M•A•C Heirloom Mix Pressed Pigment in "Enchantment" is described as a violet with blue violet sparkles. It's definitely difficult to capture how pretty this really is with my iPhone. Pressed pigments can be a little tricky to work with. It's better if you think of them not as eyeshadows but, well... pigments. This swatches terribly with my finger. A dry eyeshadow brush was only slightly better. When I scraped a little off, mixed it with Fix+ and applied it with a damp eyeshadow brush, I achieved a nice foiled look. I found it actually applied best to my lids using just my finger. I totally overthought it. Using just my finger to apply the pressed pigment to my lid allowed it to be just as pigmented as it is in the pan! People who enjoy sheer eyeshadow looks will like this item. People who don't want to work for their pigmentation or use their fingers, steer clear!
As a matte lip lover I still kind of want SoR but as someone who has a bunch of reds Im on the fence. Looks beautiful though, thanks for the swatches!

I don't think that I came back in here with a follow up review of my Tribalist that I already own from the Style Warriors Collection. If I did already then I apologize for this repeat programming. ;)

My original Tribalist is a nice formula and didn't apply patchy. Now, cause it is an Amplified Creme, it isn't as opaque as a Matte or even a Satin so you might have to pass thru a couple of times on the lips to get the full opacity. It isn't patchy or streaky once completely on. I didn't really have any bleeding problems either but I used it with Nightmoth lipliner and Prep + Prime underneath. Hope this helps! :)

I agree @thefbomb. I wonder how SoR compares to Kinky. Well, I guess it is more neutral compared to more pinky Kinky.

I don't need more reds either but special packaging makes me buy things lol my clearly flawless logic

Thank you for sharing!

"Courting Chic" kinda reminds me of the Dazzleglass Creme "Amorous".
Good thing because I had and loved Amorous and now I can get Courting Chic as a similar "replacement"

Thanks for the review!!

Thanks for posting! Hmm. Tribalist isn't as dark as I'd expected. But I don't dislike it. If I get anything from this collection, that'll be it.

Since people are complaining about this Tribalist being patchy, I can't help but think that it is specific with this batch. Mine isn't what I would call patchy. You know how MAC is though. They rer-elease a color and it isn't always the same. Perhaps the quality has changed too. Style Warriors came out in 2009. Were people complaining about the quality of lipsticks back then?

Speaking of dark purples, I am wearing Instigator for the first time if a few months. Boy what a patchy mess this is!

It is funny, TTT is a high-maintenance patchy mess too but the finish and color is well worth it.

Of course, Trend Thief didn't ask. But she did actually use my IG pic with the watermark and gave me credit in the caption; therefore, no permission required as far as I'm concerned. If she had removed the watermark and passed the pic off as her own, then I would be pissed. But she didn't, so it's all good... for now.
