Aww Audrey, I felt so depressed after reading your post. It must've been horrid for you and DH. Times are bad, life is unfair; we'll all pray hard for you and your family. No bimbo magic from me because I'm not part of the club, but I'll send lotsa hugs and kisses your way to make you feel better.

Yes it is annoying when people don't do a search, but it's even more annoying that you have to scroll through hundreds of posts to find your answer somewhere in there. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, ya know?

Maybe I'm just awesome, but yes, I've done plenty of searches before and found answers.

True and true. But sometimes I think it's that people don't even try.

The one thing I find slightly annoying are the questions that can easily be answered by simply checking the Official Colour Story thread (ie: what stores will be carrying the HK accessories etc.). Those threads are quite handy for such info.

Me personally, I always take a few minutes to see if whatever question I have has already been asked. Cuz odds are always good that such is the case. I just don't wanna be the annoying gal who's asking stuff that's already been answered 10 times

Oh I totally know what you mean. I'd much rather spend an hour looking for information rather than asking for it. When I ask a question on a forum, you can be sure that it's because I checked everywhere else and I'm desperate!

But what's strange is that I like helping other people even if their questions are easily searchable, but I think I would annoy people if I asked too many questions? Weird.

It's a search engine, nothing complicated about it, you just gotta keep trying, browse, narrow the search if possible...apart from when the site had some problems i never had problems with searching.

But sometimes people don't have so much time to read through all the posts just to find the answer, especially if it's hidden in a thread that is really really long. Or sometimes if the mention is really brief, people might have missed it if they're scrolling through threads.

Of course, I'm not saying not to try doing a search at all. Like the previous poster mentioned, it is relatively easy to find those general information in the official color story thread.

Gawd, don't you have to read through the whole bloody thread just to find what you want? Or maybe there's some option button in the search engine that allows just the relevant posts to be shown (I've been looking for it for ages).

I do searches, but there have been times where things did not come up in the actual search engine that I later found just by going through all the pages. For example, I was looking for swatches of slimshines once, only a few threads came up. Then I looked through the swatch forum and there were a bunch of threads with slimshine swatches that did not show up in the search... And I'm usually pretty good at searching and finding what I'm looking for so I'm not sure what was up with that.

I, too, have been looking for, just, such a botton!

My issues arise when I, simply, try to navigate through pages - even with high speed comcast it, practically, takes me 3 minutes to hop from page to page!!!
