Same here, my counter does not even know if or when they get the collection. They were supposed to launch last week. No info if it will be complete or not

so it looks like stereo rose returned to the nordies site yesterday? once placed in your cart it shows a backorder date of 7/30/2010. does this imply that MAC will produce more? this is probably my last ride with the LE items as well, just too stressful. yet i really need going bananas and we know its going to be this same frenzy!

It went live yesterday around the same time as the US site [so around 8am EST]. It was sold out a little after the US site [10:30AM EST]. But as evidence suggests, the timing meant nothing. Several people were glitched out of their SR's as early as 8:15AM EST.

People from MAC CS have no idea if they're producing more. I'm betting they're not, but I hope for everyone that I'm very, very wrong.

Just a heads up to my fellow Torontonians...

The Eaton Center "has a bunch" according to the MA I just spoke to.

Cost is $33.50 + 13% sales tax = $37.86 CAD

Shipping should be around $7 U.S and International, $10 in Canada

They're also letting people put them aside by phone. I just did in case anyone wants one. I bought mine last week at PRO. If no one wants it by this time tomorrow, I'll call back and cancel my hold on it.

Hey NotteRequiem - I wonder if it has anything do with with how many people were on the site ordering at once - that would cause servers to crash. It just seem like it was luck of the draw or maybe the like you said, the lucky ones were on a server that didn't crash.

Thier site as CRAWLING most of the day yesterday.

They billed me right away though

. Charged me for everything else except for Stereo Rose. I am not through with past LE items coming back because I want them because I never got the chance to get them...but the process of getting them is annoying, I agree. This was my first time dealing with MAC online and I will never go that route again.

OK so my counter is doing me a favor and putting two Stereo Rose MSFs and one Jazzed lipstick aside for me today for pick up tomorrow, but I'm going to stay on them and call again around 4pm to make sure my stuff is on the side. And then I'll call again before they close and then tomorrow morning...then I'll shoot over there on my lunch time to pick them up. I'm kidding. I really am.

MAC has looking like a spazzed out nut the way they have me going crazy for the LE items I want. Ridiculous. DH said I just need to sit down some where before I have a seizure. He is really not loving my makeup addiction right now.

Thats why mine doesnt know Im hooked on MAC. he knows my vanity is well stocked and I have a traincase full of new products but I always say when a black box comes in the mail its for work

I don't tell him how much I spend and he doesn't know how much it costs in general.

It's possible. The other thing I was pondering [and the boyfriend, who is an IT guy agreed with me] was that they might have placed the order AS it was going public on the site [you know how sometimes you can search for a product before the collection is advertised on the site?] and it just... didn't go through.

He also said it could have been human error, not putting the right product down or not changing the quanitity --- but I told him, us MAC girls don't make mistakes like that. ESPECIALLY with SR.

They billed my mother right away too, and that's how we knew she got Stereo Rose.

I'm glad you were able to reserve some at your counter. I really feel for your situation and I wish it worked out differently. If you can, go take a bath, it's quite relaxing.

Given Nordstrom's history with MAC stuff lately I wouldn't count on that being right. It may be a default when anything possibly is backordered on thier site.

I got an email yesterday for the Alice & Olivia collection and my heart SANK when I saw that "In the Groove" had already been launched. I had not been on Specktra in a few days and did not hear the buzz about it launching earlier. Needless to say, I started to panic because I saw that Stero Rose was sold out on the website AND the pro site and that was the ONE thing that I wanted to for sure get from this collection. I started to get Marine Life flashbacks and did not want to go through that again...geez. I called my MAC store and they were able to put one aside for me, so "phew".

Seriously, the sickness that is a MAC addiction.
