This is why I have opened a new thread now and moved all posts refering to MSF Stereo Rose from the discussion thread to this new one - please continue your talk about Stereo Rose there:

http://www.specktra.net/forum/f250/a...o-rose-167222/

This way I hope it will be easier to answer questions and talk about all the other products from this collection in this discussion thread.

Thanks god!~ Between this threadand the girls over on M_C LJ, I was getting annoyed with all the SR posts. I am sure it'll be crazier when MAC re-releases Lightscapade/Metal Rock... oh yes, I see it now.

Shontay, you look amazing. Awesome look.

I'm really happy with my purchases - I've been wearing Happy Together now for the second day in a row and while it's looking a little bit bland in the pot, it turns into a lovely peachy nude on my cheeks.
Wearing that with Grand Entrance and Smoke & Diamonds on my eyes - very easy and pretty look.

Tomorrow I'll try Band of Roses on its own. I love it!

Unfortunately the MAC store in Jakarta only has normal stock, no LE.. they have Soft & Gentle but they don't carry By Candlelight and I'm trying to get my friend to buy By Candlelight for me (if it's still available), but I also tempted to buy Soft & Gentle hence the question that I made

...

The swatch sites helped me a lot as well.. so THANK YOU for that!!

Soft and Gentle - Gilded peach bronze
By Candlelight - Golden pink

Are these going to help you?

Soft and Gentle: too much blush: MAC mineralize skinfinish- pics, swatches & ramblings!
By Candlelight: too much blush: MAC Warm & Cozy collection MSFs- By Candlelight and Comfort

Is there any MAC store near you? Easiest way is just go there and see if you like them or not. I'm sure you'll get some help here, too.

Also the color is different in the two. My By Candlelight has a peach, pink tone, while my Soft and Gentle does not have any peach/pink. Soft and Gentle is more the straight up champagne.

They are similar, but definitely different.

Personally, I use my By Candlelight much, much more. I think it is more versatile. I know some people can use Soft and Gentle on their forehead or down the bridge of their nose, but I can only use it as a highlight above the cheekbone. Too shimmery for me for more than that.
However By Candlelight can be used by me, lightly on more than just cheek highlight.

To be honest, even though I'm a bit of an MSF hoarder, if I could go back in time, I would get By Candlelight, not get Soft and Gentle (ouch, that hurts my inner hoarder). I would use that money for some other makeup product.

Oh I forgot to say that I swatched Candlelight again and it's definetly too pale for me. The MUA said it is mainly used as a highlight for at least my skintone.

I really like Jazzed l/s and am glad I picked it up.

I wore it yesterday with:

Chestnut liner - lightly- around lips
Mahogany liner - filled in lips
Jazzed
and topped off with Big Kiss gloss.

This was a really pretty, juicy look.

To the 2 young ladies who posted pics - the shades you are wearing are gorgeous and look great on you!

You are both gorgeous! and have great taste in color selections as well!

That Jazzed combo looks great and I really love the pink lippie!

i hope the metal rock re-release will happen one day. it will be crazy indeed!

So i ended up hauling making it easy MES. i thought it worked well with my previously hauled, cut to fit, firecracker, and coral crepe paint pot. the texture of the MES are wonderful! so smooth. i am loving MAC for them this time around. really better than i expected!

i think i am going to haul the togetherness MES later this week. i really love the purple in that one. style influencer is my 3rd favorite. i may haul that one later too.

Yes! And this is coming from someone that really doesn't care for mineralized products. The last mineralized items I went nuts over was Style Black. So I hope thats saying something.

And On The Scene...

Hang Loose is so gorgeous to look at! I'm not sure how it would work as a blush being so icy pale pink, but the colours are very very pretty! Can you see I'm tempted?

When I swatched By Candlelight in person, I didn't find it to be pink at all.
th_dunno.gif
I would rather get Soft & Gentle as I really remember liking the texture of it.

I think Go For it lipstick looks alot lighter on darker skintones than on pale ones. On me, it was a full on purple, but on others it looks almost lilac. Ill stick to my lilac/lavander lippies instead.

Bella1342: This is a one time LE collection...so if you fancy any stuff in the collection, you had better grab it fast before they are oos especially for the MSFs... and the more popular shades of mineralized blush like hang loose...

I wore band of rose today... and i used the 188 fibre optic brush to apply. And boy is it DARN pigmented.... I had to soften it out by using my kabuki brush to buff it out.... anyway here's band of rose on me

I pretty much like the color and i think this would w0rk on pretty much any skintone .... although fair skinned girls would have to be light handed with this one.

My In The Groove By Candlelight is 9g. Thought that was weird cause Stereo Rose is 10g and my Petticoat from a previous collection was 10g as well.

I don't have time to really read through the last few pages, but does anyone know of any stores/counters I can call for Stereo Rose? Just hoping someone could help me narrow my search.. it's a gorgeous Sunday and I don't want to be on the phone all day! Thanks for your help! I appreciate it! I hope you are all enjoying your In the Groove goodies!

Oh, one more question... is this part of the mineralize expansion collection that is permanent for the year... like the last collection was...or is this just a one time LE collection? Remember they were doing installments of the mineral products and changing them every year? I was hoping that...

I will move your post to the new Stereo Rose thread:

http://www.specktra.net/forum/f250/a...o-rose-167222/

This is just a one time LE collection.
