Aww shuck... Was hoping I'd be able to get the original colour... Wonder if they're going to change the description for it?

I will be NC 30 in summer hope that Stereo Rose won't be too light then.....
Why do they call it still Stereo Rose if it is not the same?

Maybe some customers would complain about a too bright/pigmented MSF but what should MAC do? Discontinue all Amplified lipsticks and replace them with Lustres.. discontinue all bright and pigmented blushes and replace them with a 100th version of Blushbaby?
What I love about MAC is the diversity. But I am scared that too many complaints about too bright/too pigmented products will lead to less diversity with the release of products which repeat themselves over and over again.
Sometimes.. when I am really bitter about the 100th version of the same "safe" product.. I'd love to recommend to check out Bobbi Brown instead of MAC to someone who complains about too bright products.

Lol, at least then us pale ladies could wear it on our cheeks! I have a little sample of Metal Rock, and I can only wear it as an eye shadow.

I was going to get Stereo Rose, mostly to see what all the fuss is about, but now I might skip it.
In that case this collection might turn out to be a skip for me.

Well that settles it. If it isn't the same as the original, I will pass. Looks like I will just enjoy Hipness and Instant Chic this summer. I think that's enough coral for me anyway.

Seems to me they're asking for complaints by naming an essentially different product Stereo Rose, but what do I know? Maybe they couldn't get a pigment that was used the first time around? Anyway, since the real Stereo Rose looked garish on me I suppose I should be happy on a personal level - maybe this version will work better on me. I wonder how the glitter/metallic factor compares?

Wow just wow! Why did they have to stick in an ugly beige in there? I want to see the original and the new side by side.
Ugh, I wish all the original MSF'S were just released at the same time and became perm. lol

actually, the description you crossed out in your post is the official description in our book. "beige" is not in the description. Quote:
