I am going to get stereo rose because of the hype! probably most of the blushers as well.

No I've never hit pan on anything besides my foundation before; I just have way too much stuff and most of my products still look brand new. To answer your question, I think it depends on how often you use the product as well. If you don't use it everyday, then having just one backup should be able to last you for a long enough time.

I've only "hit pan" on a chapstick.... how bad is that?

I have finished Shimpagne and I've hit pan on Porcelain Pink and my Lightscapade is almost gone.I'm trying to ration Lightscapade until MAC hopefully decides to repromote it someday

I have decided to get only one Stereo Rose MSF instead of two. I know that everyone was expecting it to be the same as the original release. I too am searching in the Clearance Bins for the true Stereo Rose MSF though.
About hitting pan on the MSF, I have made So Ceylon almost flat since I've used it like every single day when I first got it and that is my first MSF from Sheer Minerals collection. I'm aiming for a backup of it!

So Ceylon.. yep, that's the closest I've come to making a dent in an MSF, other than an MSFN.
I've always been so paranoid of breaking one of my MSF's, especially since I'm such a clutz. BUT, I did drop my Perfect Topping once, on a ceramic tile floor. I about passed out from the adrenaline released into my body. The product was fine, only the clasp on the package was broken. I couldn't believe it.
My pulse quickens just thinking about it. Silly, I know

That's the main reason why I usually buy backups. I am so clumpsy and tend to drop valuable eye shadows or MSF. Last time, I opened up the bathroom window and my MES in Hot Contrast LE fell out.
It was gone....

I totally understand!
Someone on MUA posted once that it took 2 years to finish up MSF IF you end up using it every single day.
