MAC - In the Groove Discussion

The kiosk in my local mall was deserted this morning. I banked on having my goodies set aside and waltzed in two hours after they opened up -- which would have been rage-inducing if there had been anyone else there, because they *didn't* actually put my things aside.

Anyway, there was only one woman working and she said I was the first person all morning to come up and look excited about ITG (MIND-BOGGLING). I got Stereo Rose, Petticoat, and I Like It Like That fresh outta the drawer. Did get the last Stereo Rose, though -- the lady said she only got two in and the other had already been sold. The testers barely looked touched, and, oddly, they didn't have a tester out for Call My Bluff? It wasn't at the kiosk or the Macy's counter, either.

Congrats to everyone who got their hands on everything they wanted! I was a little worried about how SR would look on my neutral-ish skin, but for once I'm glad I bought into the hype, lol. No more MSFs for me for a while! Next up, Fabulous Felines!!

I got my Stereo Rose! I called the counter last week and put one on hold because I was so afraid I would miss out ordering on-line. Sure enough, I get a backorder notice Tuesday night. I called the SA at the counter three times since last Friday, because I was so scared they would sell my SR. When I got there today around 2:15, they were sold out but, she had the one I put on hold! I was so happy. She said they got 8 which I thought was great because that counter does not sell much and is never busy.

I forgot to add that in this pic I'm wearing Stereo Rose (again NC45). Gives a nice glow. Hoping it doesn't break me out.

For the WOC who check this thread I think that Creme D Nude can work for us. I saw a FOTD on someone's blog that made me want the color. Here is a link to a look with it.

Picked up another Stereo Rose and Petticoat this morning. The same girl who was there the day I got all my Marine Life was there again! We fell out laughing when we saw each other.

I almost feel like I like Petticoat better. Stereo Rose is a distinct corally gold on me... but petticoat is warmer than I thought it would be on me. I might get another.

I just washed my make up off my face and what happened? A big giant pimple the size of a planet popped up on my cheek. Yup. And my cheeks started to feel itchy. Stereo Rose does not love me. I will find it another place to dwell.

I agree. The more I look at it, the better I like it. I just put another one on hold. The dimension is stunning and I feel like I can do more with it. So I'll keep one for me and pop two in my kit.

It looks nice on her, but I don't see it looking so much different from Call My Bluff+You've Got It or Siss+3N or nars Honolulu Honey+Giza lipgloss (all of which I have) to bother getting it. It's a really ugly color on it's own, on my complexion, in my opinion.

I just got back from the Eaton Centre FS Mac. Apparently Stereo Rose sold out in the first 5 min. Picked up Jazzed and some goodies from A+O!

Thanks. Yeah, only mineralized formulas. They say mineralized products are supposed to be good for sensitive skin. Go figure. It sucks becasue I like Stereo Rose and I was going to get Petticoat, too. Ugh.

My Petticoat hardly ever gets any love. I just don't care for it very much, but still can't bring myself to part with it. Go figure

All about the pigmentation of the lip vs. the pigmentation of the skin, sometimes one will work for one and not the other, if you know what I mean.

Thx for trying Jazz, I knew it was a no go for me, it reminds me so much of Sock Hop l/g and I couldn't make Sock Hop to work until Made to Order from Papier came out, two years spent with a l/g that I couldn't wear till now.

Ay mami, that happened with Petticoat. I didn't realize it was MSF doing it at first, stupid me. I got rid of it with the quickness.

I need Later in my life. IDK if I wanna pay $20 for it though, might check the Clearance Bin for someone selling half jars.
