my skin won't stay clear even if I do not abuse it! I have a lot of acne scaring and huge pores especially on the apple of my cheeks, I have a hard time concealing the with my plw concealer, any tips to conceal or get rid of them?
Contrary to what products or commercials say, you can't shrink the size of your pores. You can, however, stretch them due to crud being in them, so make sure you're using cleansing products that deep clean the pores. As far as disguising them, avoid anything overly shimmery or overly matte, but something like a primer or a or a face powder with a very subtle sheen will help disguise them. A fuller cover concealer or foundation with a dewy finish would be ideal, or, if you can't find a dewy finish, use matte, and then set with a slightly satin finish powder.

I also use to break out when I started being into MAC and putting makeup on everyday. I thought it was because I was allergic to MAC which made me sad. Also switched out my moisturizers and serums to see if it's the culprit. But then I realize it was because I had insufficient makeup removal routine. I started to wash my face really meticulously (not half-a$$ing it) with a good facial wash along with using a good makeup remover towelette and eye makeup remover. I seldom break out now.

This is key! It's important to determine your skin type first, and use the appropriate cleanser and moisturizer for for your skintype. And many people think they're doing right by cleaning their face twice a day, when in fact this is, many times, the reason for over oily skin and excessive acne. Unless prescribed by a doctor, skin shouldn't be cleansed more than once a day. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes when the right cleanser, moisturizer and once-a-day cleansing is used!

Thanks!!
I'll have to investigate where it's coming from. My spots used to be really bad but now I'm on contraceptive hormonal treatment it's much much better. It's still just the odd spot (so shouldn't really complain much!)
My diet could be better as we eat a lot of meat (my boyfriend's family is meat-crazy) and I have milk with breakfast and tea (so 2-3 times a day). I thought it might be makeup related but I'll have to look into that a bit more, I don't use much and it's light (MAC face and body) but I have read that MAC foundations can be problematic. I also need to get a better spf as it¡s too oily (I have to blot it!!)
Which is the best MAC concealer for spots and redness from old spots?

Thanks!! (and sorry for off topic)
No problem. I've had a similar experience with hormonal treatments. :) My skin used to be terrible, with cystic acne covering every square centimeter and whiteheads in between (wish I was kidding!). Now, it's only occasionally and on the chin.

Thanks! Right now, i just use plw concealer on problem areas and msf natural all over, maybe I need something with more coverage!

The ingredients have been updated lately, such as seaweed extracts and a few other things here and there. But most importantly, as i mentioned quickly last night, is that you can't use them mixed in with other skincare items. They only work together with the other lightful items. So, unless your entire skincare regime consists of the lightful line already, it won't work. But the P&P brightening serum is lovely. I've been using it since it came it out. I'd definitely recommend getting a sample if you can. The $40 price tag is a bit hefty to pay incase you end up not liking it. SFC is gonna give you the fullest coverage, but is more ideal for oilier skin (and has spf). So if your spots are pretty significant, that's gonna be your best bet. If you don't need as much coverage, give PLWC a try. And don't worry, aside from making sure you're drinking plenty of water (which is key to all body functions), your diet has nothing to do with acne.
You suggest SFC (studio fix concealer?) as a more coverage option with SPF. Here in Spain we have Studio Sculpt Concealer, is it the same? They don't seem to have SFC on the Spanish website I don't have many many spots, just the typical large one or two in separate places of my face, lol! I have the Mineralized concealer in NW20 for under eyes but it doesn't seem to last long on zits

OMG you guys still have SSC!? They DCd it here in the US  it's my fave concealer!!! SSC is a full coverage concealer for normal/dryer skin, where SFC is full coverage for normal/oily. So yes, it'd be it's equivalent, but for the opposite skin type. If you have oily skin, i wouldn't recommend SSC, as it's gonna slip n slide, unless of course where you're gonna use it tends to be on the dryer side, such as the cheeks or the jaw line (these areas tend to not be as oily, even on oilier skin types). Just be sure to set with powder.

I never thought about jawline being dry compared to the rest of my face. Erine I beg of you...what do you recommend for covering age spots?

If you want me to buy you any and send to you I'd be happy to do so! I wondered if it was the same thing or not! We don't seem to have Studio Fix Concealer on the website at least! And the other day the MA at the MAC stand used Studio Sculpt, strange isn't it?! So if anyone needs it I'm happy to help!
