My only definite at the moment is By Design. I really love metallic/shimmery nudes. During the cooler months (which there are plenty of here), I love Warm Companion. It just makes me think of chilly days and frost on the ground. Sometimes more matte nudes can just look deathly against my skin tone if I'm not careful, but the shimmer of something like By Design shifts them up a gear. I'm interested in Liqueur if its not too rusty. I spent most of my makeup wearing life wearing rusty-red-brown colours before realising that I could actually wear brights (and thrust kicking off my makeup addiction), so I'm not that fond of them now. Sex and the Oyster looks fantastic, but I'm worried that it'd be too dark against my skin. As for Divine Decadence (sorry if this has been asked - I'm moving house and haven't had time to catch up on the thread), is it worth getting when I already have Antiqued? And, as I'm asking, does anyone know how it compares to NARS Lola Lola? Thanks.

Thank you, this is really helpful! :bouquet: I just remembered how much I love HP. I've neglected it a lot lately. Something must be done! Is it me or has MAC been coming up with some beautiful mauve tones lately? Btw, you rock FTS like nobody's business Yay! More comparison swatches! ompom: What's your verdict on DR? It never made it to my wishlist because I like my eyeliners dark but it looks so lovely in this pic :eyelove: Strange. I also thought it had shimmer. Perhaps it was mislabelled and you got Utterly Tart instead?

Ack- I hadn't even considered that! Guess I will have to swing by a counter and investigate further

It does have some shimmer but, it's subdued. You will really be able to see it, in the sunlight. It's a pretty magenta shimmer. 

I looked at a swatch in the sunlight as well and...Nothing. Really odd, that, I'm beginning to think I might have gotten a mislabeled product. Has that ever happened to anyone else?

I spent way too much on this collection. I can't help it, I loooooove fall makeup... AND there are a bunch of enablers around here. LOL

I got everything except the nailpolishes, Three Ring Yellow (already own it from the first release), Smash Hit, and Ultimate Dish. My bank account will have a long time to recover from this.

I'm pretty much set for fall makeup-wise now. Clothes and shoes are another story...

I got my Black Box yesterday evening! So i'm wearing a bunch of Indulge today.

Went to my local MAC this AM about 15 min. before they opened to get MORE! I figured this wouldn't have a big crowd. I was the first one there, then 3 more shoppers arrived. Turned out only one of them came for Indulge, so i was right. But there may be a big crowd at lunch or later, i dunno...

My haul from this collection is now:

Lipstick
--- Sweet Succulence - deep glossy plum (lustre) - Coverage is just fine for me.
--- Feed the Senses - mid-tone mauvey nude (lustre)
--- By Design - soft shimmery beige (frost)
--- Smash Hit - sheer golden sparkle (dazzle)

Lipglass
--- Liqueur - mauve - it's much warmer than mauve. I got it this AM & i look forward to wearing it
I tested Lust for Life. I, too, thought it was supposed to have shimmer. I skipped it because it was just too bright, too red, and too pink for my taste. I have to really like a gloss, 'cuz i'm more of a lipstick lady than a gloss girl.

Eyeshadow
--- Guilty Morsel - glittery light gold (lustre)
--- Three Ring Yellow - bright sulfur green (veluxe pearl) - i got this from the collection-formerly-known-as-Cindy-Sherman
--- Sex & the Oyster - mid-tone greyed blue (veluxe pearl) - I pick this up this AM. I like it because it's warm, slightly aqua grey, and warm greys are better for me.

Fluidline
--- Gilt Gourmet - sparkling brushed gold
--- Deliciously Rich - shimmering mid-tone taupe - picked this up this AM
I don't know why these looked so crappy on Temptalia, they look just beautiful, to me.

I knew i didn't want any of the creme nail polishes, but did test the two gold ones in the display, and, Liba, you are sooooo right. Total skip for me. I mean, they're lovely and shiny and metallic, but i think i can either dupe them or get better from another line.

So for my Indulge-ant look today...
On my lips i'm wearing Sweet Succulence. Coverage is fine for me. But since it's so soft it benefits from a bit of liner - i used Velvetella - with a bit of By Design's beige frost dabbed in the center of my lips.

On my eyes Guilty Morsel all over my lid, with Damson pressed pigment in my crease & outer V, and Summer Honey PP from crease to brow. I wear glasses, so i think this is not as extreme as it may sound. Then i lined my eyes with Gilt Gourmet FL above and below my lashes. And finished off my eyes with New Hue, the plum colored mascara from the Beth Ditto collection - Plum Reserve was actually violet - and of course i have that too.

And finally Simmer blush from Tropic Taboo, which was also in my new Black Box. That puppy is intense! I swirled it with my 188 brush and lightly stippled it on. And it was still too strong after i buffed it out with a different clean brush. I even wiped over it gently with a tissue to get some more off, but, then, i like my blush more on the subtle side. So to tone it down more i used a matte loose powder over my cheeks & chin. And finally i went back in and used the apricot part for a highlight.

I hope everyone is happy with at least most of their stuff...

Three Ring is a repromote? Did not know that. Will have to use the Googles for more info. ETA: It was from Fall Color 2011, the formerly called Cindy Sherman collection.

Just got back from the counter.  I really restrained myself and only got Feed the Senses and Sex and the Oyster.  The MUA talked me out of Divine Decadence since I already had a few color to mix and in the store it looked very close to Bronze.  She said S/O was the only one that was completely different than anything else they'd done and she had it on her eyes.  I did a B2M for the lipstick so for me this collection cost $20  Canadian.  I'm pretty proud of myself.  Saving up for Retro Matte and the Holiday Collection.

I had this exact experience minus the DD chat with the MUA I talked with today. I wonder if we went to the same counter. Either way, I got the items I wanted... FtS lipstick x2 and unexpectedly, S&tO e/s which I couldn't resist after an in person swatch.

That is odd? I have some shimmer in mine? It's not a ton though! But, still some? Hmmm...Maybe the glitter demon stole it...LOL!

I'm so tempted to get SH, I lurve the DigiDazzle lipsticks and would have loved a chance to get Hellraiser as well, which makes me wonder why I haven't snatched up Smash Hit by now. Glad to hear more good things about the f/l. I bought both but haven't played with them yet and am wondering how much I can build up GG on the lid. Sorry! ETA this was a response to Lilinah's haul.

From the swatches I've seen on the quad this PP looks to be improved, a good 2 layers equals even opaque coverage. On the eyes it spreads nicely not patchy at all.

It is improved. More pigmented and less difficult to work with. Could be better but it's much better than the quad version. You have to layer the heck out of that one to get decent payoff and it doesn't blend without a struggle lol.

Actually, all in all, I quite like it! I was just confused and wondering if I should reorder LFL and then have both. If the one was mislabeled I would have kept it as my upside down airplane stamp
