I know when you're on the MAC website, and on the page with the foundation and all the colors are shown, there's a link at the top that says "Color Guide" or "Shade Guide" or something like that, that explains the NW and NC.

EYE SHADOW FINISHES


FROST
An iridescent shine that adds a highlight to any colour.

LUSTRE

MATTE
Hi-colour pay-off in a no-shine matte finish.

MATTE2
Intense, opaque matte finish with exceptionally rich colour payoff.

SATIN

VELUXE
Superfine pigment rich and very luxe. Supple to apply. Provides silky smooth matte finish.

LIP TREATMENT

POWDER BLUSH FINISHES


FROST

Light refractive sheen-style finish. Adds subtle highlights to the skin.

SHEERTONE
Shy-on tints in a sheer-on micro-refined powder. Not transparent. Goes on faint. Looks real.

SHEERTONE SHIMMER
Jet-milled and micro-fine, just like Sheertone, but tickled with just-enough shimmer to make light dance on the cheeks.

Near transparent colour in a shiny light-filled finish.
