Right now, I'm really interested in the two white/pink/beige lippies, both nail lacquers, and of course pink cult. I love the eyeshadows, but realistically, I know I'll never use them. Great colors for my collection, but I would get irritated whenever I messed up the overlay. :(

Sooo I had convinced myself that I didn't even need to LOOK at this collection since I really rarely wear blues, but I've secretly been lurking and now there are lots of things I would love to have! *sighs* Of course I'll need swatches before I decide, but I have a feeling that lurking has just cost me a pretty penny!

^ JEnn.. yea... it's like an alcoholic sniffing a drink.. lol

at least that's what happens to me.. but to be honest, blue es is a major trend for summer and depending on the shade of blue... it is really lovely with bronzers, and corals.. I will be wearing these on my vacay next week as I have a small mini vacay palette

and I put in a few of the blues from this collex.

i know what you mean Lou for some reason i have only worn once blue e/s for the past three months. i have been giving greens and violets all my attention. i think its the winter that makes me feel its out of place. i got complemented by my MA and friend at MAC for a combo -henna on the lid and cranberry in the crease, i blended it a lot though. i thought it wasnt good but everyone said it was very innovating and nice.

my fav combo is brown/ bronze on the lid ( my fav tan pig) and blue on the upper lashline but a thick line- i may or not add a blue liner on the waterline.
if you add a taupe colour on the crease and a vibrant colour on the lid it tones down the look. give it a try!
you know perhaps you have just given me the reason why blues arent working for me right now! perhaps it is because it is winter? i never wear colours for each season but perhaps subconciously i feel that blues are for summer?! who knows! at least i'm not the only person having issues though :) and your look with henna and cranberry sounds gorgeous! i got complimented the other day when i was getting my brows waxed! i wore the photo realism quad and i thought i'd applied it badly but the waxing lady loved it!

^^^ Blues with corals does sound fun. Perhaps I will give that a try as blues aren't my friend either. I feel like i look silly or a throw back from the 70's.

I've been using MAC for 10+ year and as my name hear implies it was the e/s that sucked me in. Now all of it has yanked me in.

I will check out this collection but I probably won't get much if any.

^^ Temptalia has not been around for 10 years.. more like Teresita says -- 3 or 4 is my guess. Since I can't say anything else, I will just say that old info is easily accessible.

MaryJane.. lol.. I started buying MAC in 1991.. and was happily surprised that one of Mickey Contractor's favourite shades was Marrakesh.. which I adored and was a matte from that time

I would kill to see some of the interesting shades from that time that have not been around for many years .

Its so refreshing to see a nice size collection from that link instead of the ridiculously inflated 30-40+ products some collections are nowadays. I quite like the look of denim dish 1.

I'm going to skip this collection. It seems like Riveting to me in that it's not very exciting, but it's just something to put out. Unless I can really see the copper pearl in the black or blue shadow, I am totally skipping.
I thought about Riveting too when I saw this collection preview.

I like the blues combined with corals

Classic, classic combo! Reminds me of one of my favorite looks back when I was a teen, which was brilliant blue eyes, fiery orange lips and frosty coral cheeks.

Oh that Diane Von Furstenberg cosmetics line from back then, it was the wildest stuff out there.

It's funny, because I hadn't thought of Riveting, but now that you mention it, I can see the similarity. The difference with me is that I actually really like that collection and, even though I'd spent a damn fortune on SCF a week prior, I ended up getting every one of the lippies that came with this collection- lipsticks and glosses. They still get a lot of wear, too. So, if they are similar, it looks like this may be my big haul for the Spring. I'm currently thinking of two of the three glosses, two of the three lipsticks, one blush and possibly all of the shadows.

I thought about Riveting too when I saw this collection preview.

leven, when I return next week I am going to set aside some time to put up some pics of MAC products from those years.. I still have them in my fridges and I think it might help some of the kids here make decisions on colours.

liba.. exactly ! think of blues as this fall's greens.. and use your coral piggies and hot coral lips and you are good to go--a single shot of blue on the lids with coral accents...( no smokey eyes for spring/summer). they are as done as Kim K for now too

The lippies are what excite me the most! I want them all just based on descriptions! I'm passing on the lippies from WW for the ones in this coll. Except Marquise D' though cause its too pretty to pass up.
The shadows dont really jump at me (I'm just on a shadow burnout at the moment, except for the LJ quad from WW ), but am interested to see the ones with copper pearl in them. Ya once the overlay's gone they wont be all that special anymore.

Thanks HerGreyness, that is exactly what I'm going to do. Perhaps pairing the coral won't make the blue e/s feel weird and out of date for me. My 22 yr old daughter wears blue e/s and liner all the time and it looks so pretty on her. We have very simular coloring.

Hmmm, the pictures are cute but I don't think this collection's my thing. I won't make any decisions until I see it in person but I have a feeling I'll be skipping this one. (My wallet's breathing a sigh of relief!)

But I just learned how to do smokey eyes. :(
I'd love to see the stuff from 10 + years ago. I used MAC back then but NEVER got into eyeshadow until last year.

oh yeah! one of my classic looks that i did when i had no clue about blending was black tied all over my lid, silver ring in the crease and then some random white shadow up to my brow - looking in pictures it looks bad because it wasn't blended! i still use the shadows - just not in that way and i now own a 224 brush! lol!

I was gonna skip on the e/s because of the overlay being annoying but grey with silver pearl sounds delish as does black with copper pearl. Anyone has played with these IRL and can comment on the texture? Do they give good pigment? Cuz I *could* get excited about these, being an eyeshadow h00r and all
