exactly! i think i will only buy one polish, one blush and perhaps one shadow from this collection

Prettypackages, just do smokey eyes if it makes you happy, no need to follow trends too seriously! There's never just one right look, all looks are okay to do whenever. That's the beauty of make up, we can make it just the way we want.

Today I asked the ma what she thought of the shadow and overspray on them, she kinda made a face and shook her head. I guess she didn't want to say out loud that she didn't like them where others could hear.

lol! so are we thinking she was shaking her head because she cant answer you or do you think she was shaking her head because she was actualy saying the shadows are not so good?! i'm guessing she meant not so good. if it is just an overspray, which is am 99% sure it will be, i shall skip you're always left with a rather average looking colour underneeth!

If the copper bit is entirely an overspray, I'm going to want to have a word with some people at Mac. After all, the colour descriptions say that each of the shadows are a base colour with copper or silver sparkle. If the sparkle goes away after a couple of uses, the shadow is really just the base colour, with nothing else to offer... They didn't market Marine life as being coral with gold shimmer.

I think even if it is just an overspray, it may take forever to get beyond it. I used my Marine Life a lot and while the gold overspray isn't very visible anymore, I still see it when it's on my face. Oh, well. I'm skipping anyway. I just bought a kick ass Nars shadow duo from the newest collection and it actually fits into this denim blue type of them. I love it. Skippy skip and I am happy about that.

Exactly. I figure at the least I'll probably want at least one lipstick and the matte pink blush... I really was hoping that the descriptions were accurate, though. Black w/ copper sounds really cool... At the same time, maybe I should thank Mac for going easy on my wallet this year. Last year, I was already preparing for a massive outlay on SCF at this time...

Is the pale lippy Pretty Please or Acid Washed? It's very pretty, but I the majority of my lipsticks are light and shimmery. Not big on the burgandy lippies. The shadows are gorg though.

yeah the swatches are very dissapointing to me. so far all i want is the pinky purple lipstick and that is it. and most likely the hot pink blush. and could you see on the blue shadow that the 'button' was coming off already?!

Acid Washed looks too much like Creme d'Nude to warrant a purchase... I was hoping it would be a little cooler in tone. I like the look of the pink/ purple lipstick and maybe the gloss. Was hoping Pink Cult would be darker, but it just looks like a couple of things I already have. The eye shadows are a real disappointment. More money saved!

Edit: Looked at Pink Cult again and I like it more. So atm looks like
