Most things becoming perm according to Karrie?!

what's happened to Mac that they're making stuff perm so often lately? This is seriosly weird, lol. I'm afraid something else is gonna land on the chopping block then.
I like the photos of the pans a lot, mostly the blurry ones. But I'm not too impressed by the swatches, maybe because the formula isn't easy to photograph. I like to watch is my favorite too, and I agree on that creepy name, Marsha!

Only MAC know why the majority of their products are becoming perm, but I'll give my feedback on it... I think it's the customer demand eg US, the consumers and the professionals. We wanted a 'blurple' lipstick to become perm, MAC have listened (I hope). Also there could be case that want to bring in a different type of clientele like teenagers and alternatives to the brand. Will it work??? Only time will tell. There was a petition a few months back to... Bring back Heaux, my girl J (you know who you are) started it and a few of us signed it of course. MAC are bringing back Heaux, but in a different finish. Are MAC listening, again only time will tell (you didn't listen MAC, we wanted Retro Matte - not cremesheen). Sorry for the story, my marketing and advertising past is showing (thanks college, you have taught me well) Back in the room and on the topic... That particular eyeshadow... I like it, I might even buy, if I don't have anything... Copper Sparkle... I will be swatching you along with a Barry M pigment, just to see if it's a justified purchase. That name though... It's sounds very 70s porn flick... With added... I'll shut up now

it's really interesting to hear an explanation from someone who knows the marketing biz well, thank you. I'm just so surprized Mac's finally listening to all those customers' wishes, lol. Too good go be true! Can't really believe it when something's supposed to be perm when the former strategy was all about LE craziness. But hey, I won't complain about perm stuff, lol. Always good for my low-buy!
In one of the higher end threads, someone had notes that Nordies weren't too happy with MAC and the whole LE/not serving customer demand/fake hype fiasco and were putting pressure on them. Another report stated that it was actually losing MAC money because people were turned off. Maybe they're trying to change that before it's too late?

I just got a sample of I like 2 Watch, headin upstairs to take pictures for you all now. Pressrelease states that the only thing staying in line is the 247 brush and that the rest is LE.

Here's a ton of pictures! I tried it out in a look and these definitely look a lot better and get a whole different depth if you use them on a stickier base. I had Nyx Milk so I used that but something like a Paint pot would probably do the trick aswell. I used the thinnest possible layer to get the stickyness but not the white cast from Milk and it worked amazingly. "I like 2 watch" is described as a Mid-tone brown with gold sparkles but I dont agree fully. It has the most beautiful color shift that shifts from a green antique gold to a more muted yellow gold to a brown to almost a taupe (It is gorgeous). These dont have an insane amount of fallout if you use a sticky base and pat them on, if i started sweeping them on with a blending brush i got the glitter everywhere. I applied a transition color in my crease before I applied "I like 2 watch" (I used omega) and it worked great. These are in a pan so they can be depotted if desired.

On milk, on bare skin

Different angle. On milk, On bare skin.

Light layer of omega in the crease and then only I like 2 watch on the lid.

Update on the longevity. I applied it around 5+ hours ago and Ive had a bbq, dug a hole, planted an appletree and the eyeshadow (And the sparkles) were still there, looking as they did when I applied them. I'm kinda amazed. I had a few flecks of glitter on my cheek but I could only see them cause I was looking for them. I forgot to take a picture cause I was muddy, sorry!
