MAC - MAC for Manish Arora Discussion

I just got home from my weekend trip and my little black box was sitting inside waiting for me to get my hands on it. OMG!!! everything is so beautiful. All the colors inside the palete are so pretty I just want to look at it and not mess it up by using it. And the lippies are so pretty. I love Kiss Manish even though I'm not yet comfortable with brighter lips on my NC15 skin. And Shine Manish is just beyond gorgeous. I haven't tried Pink Swoon yet but I know I'll love it. It is the perfect soft pink for me.

I think this is the first time I will save the little boxes. I just love the art on them. I'm so excited about my goodies.

I know what you mean! I had to wait for a pay day and by then everything was gone (and the SoHo store kept giving me a Verizon message) so I was left without as well.
Here's hoping they really do at least bring back the items currently marked "Coming Soon".

The eyeshadows are just the PERFECT textures. They all blend together seamlessly. I used them on Friday for a party and they are just sooo perfect. My pictures aren't uploading so I'll just describe it for now. =P

Playful as inner highlight.
Going Bananas inner lid.
Bitter outer lid.
Deep Truth in crease.
Electric Eel under eye liner.
Nylon brow bone highlight.
Feline on waterline, Black Creme Liner, Chanel Lash Base, Plushblack Mascara.

It looked SO perfect. I got compliments all night. =D

You know, I am a coloraholic and usually LOVE MAC

, but I was disappointed in Manish.

The packaging is fun, but honestly the products inside are not unique at all.

I just am not that thrilled with what I have used. With such fabulous packaging, I was hoping for a product that was unique too.

Now Dress Camp= at least that packaging was really different AND the stuff inside was too- at least the lipstick.

I disagree. My opinion is that the products are quite unique, especially the eye palette, but it comes off as "not unique" to some just because they're repromotes. To me, they are very interesting and great for someone that loves color, they're just not as relatively unique as new colors would have been. Electric Eel, Nylon, and Bitter are quite unique, they just happen to be permanent items. =D

I love Going Bananas by the way. It looks very similar to the yellow in Stowaways, but I didn't swatch them next to each other, it just reminds me of it. :3

also: I just went onto the MAC Chat and asked about the return of some of the products. It seemed like a generic answer of "check back next week" but...since they said that last week...it makes me kind of nervous.

YAY, just got my package!

I ended up just getting Devil blush & Shine l/g. I was afraid at the brightness & the orange at first, but they really are pretty!

Now if they do have the Pink Manish l/g back in stock soon, I'm tempted. For anyone who has it is it super bright? I look at some pics & it looks bright & others it looks like a med. pink. Maybe the frost tones it down?

Pink manish looks kinda bright in the tube, but it's not that bright on the lips. here's a comparison with style minx and starlet kiss. hope it helps

No, I'm not a Pro member. I just kept calling and calling until I finally got through. The lady took my order and shipped it! I didn't know they could do this but I called the PRO store in New York who was completely sold out and the guy told me that all I had to do was call the Soho store and they would ship to me! Most items were sold out though but I was able to get the palette and Kiss Manish l/s.

oh my GOD... I cant believe it- IM IN LOVE!!!!!! Pictures do NOT do this packaging justice- it's SO GORGEOUS.. I almost had a product orgasm in my car after I picked up my package from my friend's house... I looooove everything! I hve to build pink swoon up a littlebit- its a little light for my skin, but it looks great after building it up-... and devil i have to apply with a VERY LIGHT HAND- that stuffs going to last me forever

AND IM IN LOVE WITH THE LIPGLASSES........orgasm in a tube. NOT KIDDING!

I agree with you wholeheartedly, Mr. Bunnyx3. I love this collection, especially now that it's getting chilly and drab outside. A colorful collection that perks you up and banishes the winter blahs, is just what the MAC doctor ordered. I can't wait until my palette and Devil Blush come in. I'm looking forward to trying out Going Bananas too. I don't have any yellow eye shadows in my collection. It is so nice to have a fun collection like this released at this time of year.

I love the pallette and all the different colours. I'm really glad I got this one.

Some of the colours seem to be a bit light on me though, not sure why that is.
