MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

I've only got one thing so far: Preppy Lip Gelee. It's seriously the prettiest lip product I've ever seen from MAC. It's absolutely the most gorgeous shade of pink possible. I'm completely in love with it like I never expected to be. I was afraid I would not like the way it would apply from the tube, but it actually works very well. It's a very sparky pink too.

I'd love it if someone could recommend a good lipstick to wear with it (as in, same shade). It looks nice on bare lips too, though.

Although, I am more than willing to shell out $20 for the new and reduced pigments! Funny how that works.

Lol, same for me too!

I just picked up Resort Life and Preppy lipgelees. I swiped the powder and it was really orange on me, too, so I passed. I'm NW/NC15.

I walked away with only preppy ligelee, but I am returning it. It's far too sparkly on my lips without any real color. All of them were gorgeous on my hand, but when I got home with preppy and applied it I was disappointed.

The creme blushes are a nice texture. I used to have a Mac cremeblush, so I have nothing against them, but I do prefer powder. The only blush I played with is Florida b/c I thought I might buy it. Unlike what others have said, I found this to be very pigmented. I applied only a little to the back of my hand and I have to really work it in to make it look natural and less clownish. It is a beautiful color, though. I just wasn't dying for it. The naturalness of AA,AR,AS collection didn't allow me to go for these bright shades.

The face powder was GORGEOUS in person. I couldn't believe it. It was really pigmented. I love the look of it swirled together or even using more of the yellow shade. I didn't buy it b/c I always have a problem with such powders. I am so damn yellow that any kind of golden face product blends in to the point of being useless. This would be an HG product for dark girls, though.

The shadow was unremarkable. It's gimmicky and passable.

Hope this helps you ladies. It is just my opinion, of course :-D.

I forgot something...I flew over to Sephora after I was done in mac to see the smashbox heartbreaker collection and I was VERY impressed. I don't even like smashbox and I'm not trying to turn you Mac girls away from your fave brand, but I think you all need to check it out. I think this collection is what Lillyland should've been.

I want the two squeeze tube glosses. They are coral and hot pink. I came so close to getting them, but I had spent enough already. I will get them very soon though because I can see these flying off the shelf. There was only 2 of each shade left! They also have a pretty good liquid liner in this collection. It's very sturdy, precise and black. A blacker penultimate (which I love, by the way). So think about giving it a shot.

I actually walked away with stuff I didn't think I would want!

Lush & Bright is a gorgeous color. Not super frosty as the others and I think it will be gorgeous with my nude bronzed looks for the summer.
I am thinking about going back for Resort Life & Preppy.

Optimistic Orange, this one actually suprised me! I love it sheered out!
I have soo many pink blushes, so I just fell for this one!
Just have to sheer it out, and it a gorgeous color.

Coconut Ice, I just really like this color. I will paint my nails with it tonight, I will post my review then.

I love the melon-drama lipgloss and bought it...but when I got home it was the same as Red Devil lipglass...so sad =(

alright, here's my copied and pasted review from my blog. I wear NW25 in studio sculpt. Hope it will help someone:

The lip gelees are the stars of this collection! Seriously, if you like sparkle and ultra look-at-me shimmer on your lips you will love these. I only picked up one, Shift to Pink, which is pinky Lilac. But the other three are equally gorgeous!

The blushes are also super pretty. I especially liked Joi-de-vivre. I didn't purchase any as I have soooo many blushes and am on a no buy when it comes to cheek products for a while. All of these swatch beautifully and I can imagine that you can use them on your cheeks and lips.

I skipped the eyeshadow pot as the colours were not special too me and also swatch a little on the chalky side. The face powder is beautiful but too dark for me to use as all over powder and not special enough as a blush.

So I just ended up with Florida cremeblend blush and Resort Life lipgelee. I have so many pinks that I am sure I can just dupe the lipgelee.

I wore resort life today with Angel lipstick and I really did not like the feel of the lipgelee. Maybe it is because I am used to stickier glosses.

Very pretty collection and I am excited to use Florida blush on my lips.

the lipgelees are almost too glittery for me. it's like a glitter overload, so i'm not sure why i got 2 of them and still thinking about getting resort life too. sigh. i guess i'm just attracted to bright shiny objects.

cremeblend blushes are nothing special. i do love the bright colors (too many neutral collections lately), but the texture was diapointing for me. i was hoping for something like nars cream blush, but these feels very soft & oily instead of silicone -y (does that make sense?). it didn't blend very well on my hand using my fingers. looked blotchy, accentuated every line and flake even though i moisturized my hand before using it. it also settled into the lines on the back of my hands. i'll probably have better luck with a brush, but i didn't want to risk break-outs especially since i have tons of blushes in similar colors and easier to work with (i stopped keeping records of my blushes after the number reached 100 last year)

the eyeshadow looked nicer than i thought, the texture is nice and soft, but wasn't pigmented enough and the colors are not unique. i also suspect it may not stay on the lids very well without a base.

the face powder was ok. i think i might get it if mac release them in single colors instead. when i used my finger to swirl all the colors together, the powder looked gross afterwards. i tried to clean it up with a tissue and it didn't work too well either. so... yah, use a brush to swatch the next time

i liked coconut ice nail polish, but mac nail polish isn't my favorite, so i'll try to find a dupe from another line first

The only thing different was that Red Devil had gold shimmer....is that enough to have both?

I was super stoked about this collection back when it was just talk. Now that I see it, it's blah. I was hoping for bright pink or white packaging, some nice shadows (I swatched the trio and made a mess of the pan), an additional nail polish. IMO, it really is not the essence of who she is as a designer.

I was going to B2M for "Shift to Pink" lipglee, but would rather have PinCurl from Love Lace. SO would have a fit if I kissed him with glittery lipglee!

I felt the same way! Super pretty but I won't be wearing them much. I also picked up Resort Life.
The flower eye shadow was nice to look at but I was disappointed when I swatched it. I love green eye shadows but this one doesn't show up on my skintone at all. I saw some goldish stain but that was it. Booo!
I got So Sweet So Easy creme blush since the SA mentioned that you can also use it as lip color. The texture is nice.
Loved the face powder and that was the last thing that I've got.

Yikes, that does not sound very encouraging! What is in these blushes anyway? Does anybody have the ingredient list? Any propylene glycol or oils?

Anyone noticed that on the maccosmetics.com the Fresco Rose PP, which is part of the Lillyland collection is also on the "Going Going Gone"-section? I was browsing the web-site just for fun, when I noticed this. Could this be an error on the web page. To me this doesn't make any sense.

It is going to be discontinued soon. It is part of a limited edition now.

Thanks Susanne. This may explain it. I just find it strange that it's already in the GGG-section when MAC in Lillyland collection was just released earlier this week. I'd expect FR to be moved to the GGG-section when the collection was pulled out from the "What's New".
