I like the quad overall but for your skintone it may be hard to work with. I found all the shades to be greyed out and the paler of the two have alot of like... white in them. Try it at counter and see how it applies on your skin.

In The Gallery Quad looks so pretty on you Bunnyx3. Right now I'm so devistated that I cannot purchase any MAC for awhile since my mom told me that I cannot make another makeup purchase. THIS IS KILLING ME!!!!

Thanks Winnie. It's so hard to pass up this collection even though I wanted to get both Notoriety and In The Gallery Quads as well as Brash & Bold pigment, Haunting e/s, Purple Shower e/s, Lovin It l/s and New Spirit l/g. Guess I won't be able to get them since they'll be gone off the site by the time I go to Vegas next month.

I went to just *look* at the new collection on my way to get groceries today. Of course I couldn't pass up the quads... I have had my eye on the Notoriety and caved. I also got Push the Edge pigment and the Gold glitter (perfect for fall on my nails and lips). I must say, the quads are really pretty in person, but nothing else is really overly impressive as most everyone else already said. The magenta liner was tempting but everyone had so much trouble with it, I passed. At least I can finally contribute to the topic instead of enabling and be enabled LOL

I went back to mac today and I picked up hold the pose and high strung lipsticks. For some reason the perfect cheek was calling me. I hated this blush at the special preview, but whenever I went to mac I kept swatching it. So the MA says let me put some on you. She did and when I looked, it was so pretty. I was shocked! I am an olive complexion and I didn't expect this to show up. She patted it on. It was very subtle on me, so obviously it'll be much more opaque on paler ladies. I'm happy with all 3 purchases. High Strung is gorgeous with personal taste lip glass, which I already have and even hold the pose looks great with personal taste. Hold the pose came out so shimmery on my pigmented lips. It reminded me of london life from euristocrats with that pretty shimmer and to be a lustre, it showed up VERY well on me. I'm on cloud 9. Now I am done with this collection. Final tally:

Lip glasses: On Display and Personal Taste
Lipsticks: High Strung and Hold the Pose
Shadow: Off the Page
Blush: Notable and The Perfect Cheek
Quad: Photo Realism

I also bought all the orange, blue and lime technakohls, but hated them so I passed them off to a friend. For reference I am a 173 in MUFE HD foundation.

this collection came out today, so i went and checked it out. the one thing that i wanted to look at was OTP e/s, but when i went and looked at it, it was so not me - the colour just looked off to me. so i walked away with nothing at all. i think i am skipping this collection completely. i wasnt impressed at all.

maybe it was just the frame of mind im in - ive been such a debbie downer lately, and not even MAC can cheer me up

I'm back from my counter visit. I bought
mac_haul.gif

Brash & Bold pigment
Heritage Rouge pigment
Photo Realism quad
Off The Page e/s

Shocking, because I hardly use eye makeup, but look at what I bought.
lol.gif
I tell myself that I'm in the "stocking up" phase, so it tallies.

I told my MA that I would buy all 3 eye products (sans the quad) if she could create a complete look with them, and she put Off The Page on the inner corner, Brash & Bold in the middle, and Heritage Rouge on the outer corner. It was hot.

I might go back for Notable and New Spirit, but I'm trying to resist. Need to cut down on my makeup spending.

Not to enable you or anything (

), but Notable is very necessary. It is absolutely gorgeous. I just don't want you to regret not getting it later on b/c it is just so flattering on just about everyone.
