I was hoping they would be like Guerlain's Lingerie foundation. Their foundation has matched me better than anyone else's ever has. I wear Shade 13. It wears like a dream!!

it's crazy that they tend to jump from nc 42 to nc44 or 45....it's a big jump! why not make nc43 available? it seems a bit daft, considering that then they just lump us all into nc44 or 45, which invariably ends up being too light or too dark or too orange or whatever. maybe in some parts of the world they make it available, but here the only foundation i can get in my shade is the studio fix or studio tech...but what if i don't want cream/powder? sigh.

I really want to try this foundation! The last thing I need is another foundation of course.

Got my foundation! Nc20 is a perfect match, though not as yellow as some other mac foundations (good or bad based on your coloring, I guess!). Went on very well and blends like a dream. Kind of a "your skin but better" finish. Very light coverage, IMO, but buildable. Hope it wears well!

I got my bottle yesterday and I gave it a test run. I normally wear NW47 but I can also get away with NW45 which is what I ordered, and I must say that it is true it runs a bit dark. This NW45 looked like a 47 which is still fine. The coverage is medium to full coverage but it looks very natural, I tend to go for the more light to medium coverage foundations so this is perfect. Its extremely moisturizing and it's kind of runny like UD Naked foundation and it feels really light on the skin.
Dry skin girls and boys will love this, I have combination skin and im usually dry in the winter. I didn't use a primer and I applied it right on top of my moisturizer but I'll try it again tomorrow with my wonderful Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer.
I hope this helps a little

Here's a blogger that has a pic of the ingredients on her site.

Thanks for the review! I think I will have to pick a lighter shade then since I normally wear NW45.

2nd day using this foundation and I'm not feeling it nearly as much as I was yesterday. It is sheer, sheer coverage on me. It almost seems to disappear on my skin (and leaves behind just shine with no color!). That's a good thing for texture, but the coverage is very "barely-there." I had to put on 2 layers just to cover the small bit of redness in my cheek area and 2 layers of anything is just off-putting to me. It also accentuated the dryness on my nose that I never realized was there until using this foundation. :( Will give it another go tomorrow, but I'm thinking this is a dud for me. I hope not, though.

Got mine yesterday and tried it out today for the first time. Firstly, it's funny that some have commented it runs dark as to me it runs lighter than most other MAC foundations! I ordered NW25 and to me it is much closer to a Studio Sculpt or Studio Fix Nw20! I put it on today with a 130 brush (since that was the brush shown with it in the promos) and it just sat on my skin (and I have dry skin). I had to actually use my fingers to rub it in and in doing that I felt like I was just smearing it around. Most foundations sink in pretty easily but this just sat there on top of my skin. It is very sheer coverage and I can't attest to build ability as I can't imagine trying to layer it. It is definitely glowy (dare i say maybe even greasy) as I had to dust a powder over it which I never normally do. It reminds me of MACs Face and Body but without the good buildable coverage and even finish. Upon first impression I'm not really liking it though tomorrow ill give it a go with a different brush and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you, you just killed this lemming and its breathing its agonal last gasps now. I tried the Prep and Prime base (primer) today and I think I am going to skip this one. I like my foundations to have more coverage and tackiness than you are describing. Matchmaster is a little too matte, but I can work around that by blending a little primer into it or even some Strobe. I am really liking my NARS foundation right now best and Matchmaster and Studio Gear matte finish one are a close, close second.

I agree with you on the greasy part. Even swatched on my hand it leaves behind a "glossy" look. Not flattering at all. Sadly, I'm sending mine back. Sigh.... It looked so good on paper (or Internet!).
