Strobe is gonna make ya gloooooooooowwwww! So if you're on the oily side of combo, I'd skip (same for the foundation).

^ Speaking of Strobe, I recently received a mini tube of it with my order. How (= when) should I use it? I already put so many products on my face.

I like using strobe before my foundation. Or if I use liquid you can mix them together before application. Or on top of the foundation on certain parts of face to highlight

I used to use it after sunscreen and primer, but before foundation and/or concealer. If you have skin prone to shine, you might want to avoid using it on the T-zone.

Definitely get samples first - and try more than one color. It's worth a test. If it doesn't work, you won't have wasted much. If it does, you'll know which to get.

And you probably do not need the Strobe Cream (for normal to dry) or Strobe Liquid (for combo to oily)

Strobe cream and strobe liquid are both illuminators. They can be worn alone or mixed with foundation. Strobe cream is also a moisturizer, (whereas strobe liquid is not), so it can also be worn as such.

Well, today i tested my sample of Mineralize Moisture Foundation in NC20. This MAC shade is a little darker and warmer than my skin.

Let me say first that SPF 15 is not really much, so if you want it to protect your face from UVA and UVB rays you might consider using a sunscreen first. I use a daily moisturizer with mineral sunscreen that has SPF 25 - and i would prefer SPF 30.

COLOR
It looked ok when i first put it on. I can't recall how long i wore it, but checking in a mirror again some hours later, it has definitely oxidized. It's not freakishly clown orange, but it's at least one shade darker, if not two, than it was at first. Since i only put it on certain areas of my face, it's not a good look.

FEEL
I can feel it on my face. I don't mind because it feels like a moisturizer, which i wear every day. In fact, i kinda like how it feels. It's there, but it doesn't feel suffocating to me, as some other foundations have felt (especially matte finish). If you have combo or oily skin, you probably won't like the feel. And if you don't like feeling your foundation, you probably won't like this, either.

FINISH
It definitely has the "dewy glow" of moisturizing cream. I don't think it looks greasy or oily, but some of you might. So if you don't like that light-reflecting quality, you will probably not like this foundation

COVERAGE
The coverage was lighter than i expected. It was sort of medium-sheer. And it didn't build up well, because it is so moisturizing. Still, a little goes a fairly long way - i had a generous sample in one of those teeny tiny little jars and all i did was dab my fingers into the foundation on the inside of the lid.

CONCLUSION
I will try again with NC15, which is usually a little lighter than my skin, and see if it acts the same, or if it oxidizes just enough to be wearable.

I've yet to try out my sample. I'm scared about testing new foundations on a work day. I going to try it out this weekend.

Thanks all for the info! I have a sample of the cream which is good because my skin is super dry.

I got matched to NC30 even though on everything else I'm an NC35. In the store it looked fine cuz i had her do half my face with this and i was still wearing my matchmaster. So i bought a bottle...testing it out today on my whole face and my nose is shiny and i feel in certain areas it's not covering it well. I have a little redness on my cheeks and i see them kinda peeking out. Sad, but I will have to return. I liked the mineralize one in the compact though and will have to re-buy

Hmmm, lets see, greasy as all get out, light coverage and reports of oxidization screwing up the color match. I will stick with Matchmaster and a good primer to take care of dry spots. This doesn't sound like a foundation I will be purchasing.

Well I shouldn't have bought this. It's too dark in NC15. I just thought from the reviews of colours it would work. So if anyone wants NC15, let me know.

Well, I've had a pretty good experience with this foundation so far. I bought NC25 and it is a pretty good match, doesn't oxidize to the point where it is unwearable. I set it with my HG powder (Maybelline Dream Matte powder) and it wasn't overly shiny or greasy. I have normal to combo skin (sometimes oily in t-zone). I also applied it with a beauty blender and don't usually care for a ton of coverage, as my favorite foundations are NARS Sheer Glow as well as Face and Body. I'm happy with it but am definitely aware of it on my face, if that makes sense. I can feel it more than other foundations.

All true. With its tendency to oxidize, one shade lighter is often better.

A little shine doesn't bother me, but i know many people don't want shiny foundation. Where i don't want shiny places, I just powder over - usually either MSFN or NARS Reflecting Setting Powder.

And as i posted, it's only medium-sheer and not really buildable. So while it evens the complexion, it doesn't cover rosacea, dark patches, red spots, etc.

So today i'm testing Mineralize Moisture Foundation in NC15.

I've always had bad luck with MAC foundations (OK, luck really has nothing to do with it). Even Studio Sculpt, which i was told was moisturizing, made my face look like the Gobi Desert.

And, as noted in my sig line, my skin color is between 15 & 20, and neutral, neither warm nor cool. This is an additional problem with MAC, since i'm not a standard color or tone.

NC15 looked quite light in color going on, but i blended. And knowing it would oxidized a little, i wasn't worried. So far if the color has changed it is within reason.

As i said previously, i like the way it feels. While i would prefer greater coverage, i like this foundation, now that i've found a color that will work.

My next step will be to test it against the other potential contenders for my next foundation.
