I think you're right about that. I'm kinda glad Christine and Karen didn't post about it though because can you imagine their poor inboxes once the 4th came and went and there was no launch?

You just know people would of jumped all over them for it as well as MAC.

I agree that they need to up the communication at the CS level and do it soon. But to be fair they never mentioned this collection so the fact that the originally slated launch date has come and gone and they haven't said anything about it really isn't all that surprising to me being that they never announced the collab to the public to begin with. Now had they made a formal announcement of the collection and then didn't say anything about the date being moved etc I'd be pretty darn annoyed with them. lol. I think that when it comes down to store level and CS though that those people seem to be grossly misinformed at times almost like they are all playing the telephone game and that is something that needs fixing in a big way. If a customer asks about a collection, launch date or whatever, they should be able to inform them of such and it should be the same answer given to each customer no matter which medium you're asking. Not 5 different answers by 5 different people who've all been asked the same question.

Of course, if this had been the only case where communication was lacking then I'd have no problem at all, since, as you said, this collection hasn't been officially announced to the public. However, MAC has been so inconsistent in that past that people are staying up all night not knowing if they should be or not when it isn't even coming out that morning, and now some people are saying that it is coming out next week, and yet there is still no announcement or swatches. It causes a level of mistrust between them and their most loyal customers. Of course, I don't really care so much on my behalf because I rarely stalk or anything like that, but for those that do, it can be a real pain.

I totally agree. Of course, if this had been the only case where communication was lacking then I'd have no problem at all, since, as you said, this collection hasn't been officially announced to the public. I feel awful for the girls who stay up stalking all night in vain and then feel like crap all day the next day and the damn thing doesn't launch until the late morning or afternoon or at all in this case. I wish that we were able to hop on MAC chat or call a store and get some kind of information, but we can't because we'll just end up with 50 different answers and that's total crap. I'm just going to sit and wait for MAC, NG or one of the big bloggers to announce the collection and launch date so that I know for sure when to be looking for it and don't waste anymore time hitting refresh on a mostly blank page.

Oh, I know, I can't do that stalking! I value my sleep too much lol. The only time I stalked was for Osbournes. I knew it would sell out quickly and I didn't want to miss out. I still didn't stay up all night, though. I managed to get three or four hours of sleep, I think.

I can't do it either, I'll stalk during the day if it hasn't popped up yet, but all night? NOPE! I tried for Osbournes but didn't make it past 12:30 and got lucky that it went up a few minutes after I woke up for work in the morning. I just can't be doing that anymore in my old age. LOL!!!

I visited him yesterday and he's just as cute as a button! I used to be able to go out and party every day of the week and feel just fine going days with zero or very little sleep. Now I stay up too late one night on the weekend and feel like total crap for days! lol

Agreed. Here's the thing, though-what you won't do, someone else will. There are plenty that don't mind stalking for these LE products, and as long as Estee Lauder's bottom line isn't affected, they are going to do what they feel like doing, and you will deal. The only way things will change is if a critical mass decides that they've had enough and divert their monies elsewhere. That's why people need to decide for themselves what they are willing to put up with.

I visited him yesterday and he's just as cute as a button! We took my 11 year old brother with me to find out how he'd handle kids... they were lying all over the floor, playing and cuddling non-stop! It was so much fun to watch them together. Totally agree. We should be able to just pop onto the site or hit the counter on launch day and know we're going to walk away with what we wanted because there is enough to go around. It boggles my mind how stores and counters get sent quantities of 2 or 3 of a highly sought after product or how things sell out in minutes online because only 100 are available.

Im not angry or upset for loosing sleep because like others have mentioned Mac never really spoke of this collection and or gave a launch date. All I want is for them to release the promo info and inform us when to expect it, if its November so be it instead of making us a paranoid group of women constantly stalking the site in fear it will realese unexpectedly :/
