I feel slightly bamboozled when there are no swatches before release. Its like Mac is trying to get one over. Like 10 red lippies with a hint of a difference.

I do like PH, but i just cannot wear it with Nightmoth or Vino. A blue liner will bring out the purpleness. That reminds me... DG lipstick with HDC pencil, give that a shot and let me know how it comes out

And a crappy one at that IMO. Maybe I got a dud but my PH feels nothing like my other amplifieds. It's slippery and patchy. Grr I hate that lipstick for disappointing me when I had such high hopes for it. Bitter mode on

Incidentally, you say in the first post that the collection will be available at select MSO. Do you know if it's going to be just 2 stores like Kinky Boots or will it be more widely available?

Aww, I think you got a dud. Mine isn't patchy in the slightest! It's actually one of these least patchy darker shades I own!

Yeah mine was god awful. It went on okay, but it slipped around constantly. Even just talking, I'd get back to my room and it would be all over the place.

Maybe I need to break the sucker in. Call me weird but I find that some lipsticks don't apply very well the first few uses. I was so pissed off with PH after wearing it a couple of times that I haven't touched it since. I'll give it a couple more chances to see if things improve.

That happens with some of my products as well. Not crazy at all. I have tried breaking in my Smoked Purple but unfortunately that one was just a dud. Super patchy on me. I've seen it on other people and it looks so good so I know there must be good ones out there!

Mine wasn't patchy more like super slippery lol PH wasn't even as dark as I had hoped

I wasn't expecting PH to be darker but I was expecting it to be more purple. It pulls very red on me. I don't really mind, because the shade itself is nice.

re: patchiness - the colour is actually pretty uniform when I put it on, but once it starts sliding around (which is almost immediately) it starts to look patchy because the product sort of concentrates on some places. Reminds me a bit of the tie-dyed crap I used to wear when I was in high school haha. Layering and reappyling only accentuates the effect. It bleeds a bit too, which isn't something I experience very often because I always use P&P lip and a lip pencil to contour. Nothing major though.

If I apply it straight from the tube, it pulls and skips like a mofo, After some trial error I found that the best way to tame it is to work the colour in with a lip brush.  I wasn't expecting PH to be darker but I was expecting it to be more purple. That is how PH is on me too. Applies evenly then starts to mess up. Haha tie-dye.
