Gorgeous my friend. Runner is such a pretty color. It is definitely a complimentary shade on you.

I wore Gunner out the day i salvaged it. It isn't quite as blue as i hoped, or as it looks in some photos here, but it is a really nice deep dark violet. It went on smoothly and gave good coverage, no pulling, no patchiness.

I'd been wearing my new eyeshadows (UD, Sugarpill, Too Faced) almost every day since they arrived (sparkly light colors on the lids and intense matte deep bright pink or red or orange in the crease), but I only put on a little eyeliner, my favorite, Smokey Heir Superslick Liquid Eye Liner. My eyes could have probably used a bit more accenting, but after going thru the stress of the sodden box, i wasn't in the mood for more fiddling.

Gunner held up well, but did not make it thru the Burger of the Day at Victory Burger that afternoon. I normally don't care much for beef, but, OMG, the stuff they get from five dot ranch is amazing - all grass fed, no hormones or antibiotics - it really makes a difference in the flavor. And their BotW are so creative i get one each week - a week ago it had homemade cipollini onion and quince jam on it, bacon bits and homemade mayo - sigh. Even after the fabulous juicy burger otW with homemade "steak sauce" and chanterelle, oyster & shiitake mushrooms in shallot-black pepper butter with homemade honey-balsamic steak sauce, and grilled onions and arugula, there was still some color on my lips. It wasn't a stain - I could even it out with my finger, since i'd left Gunner at home to recover from its ordeal.

If anyone is in Berkeley-Oakland (Calif) area, i highly recommend the highly informal but delicious Victory Burger - tantalize yourselves by seeing what the BotW have been (and the equally amazing salads of the week : https://www.facebook.com/victoryburger and scroll down. I have no affiliation, other than being a regular customer.

Finally, Gunner isn't really like any of the other dozens and dozens of purple and violet lipsticks i have, so i am happy i rescued it.

Thanks for the imagery! Now I'm craving a burger, lol! In absence of that, think I'll just refill my glass of Sangria!
