While waiting for this collection I pulled out Ablaze, and now its MIA It's my favourite lippie

I was really looking forward to playland and bright side and now that I've seen swatches, I'm disappointed. I wanted that intense, opaque yellow I saw in the Instagram images. Any recommendations how I can get a yellow like that?

The OCC lip tars come in all colors, including a truly in your face yellow, and they are matte.

You could use a yellow pigment like Ever Sp Yellow and mix with a lip gloss to make an opaque lip colour. Alternatively, Lime Crime have New Yolk City lipstick, which is yellow but I'm not too sure about the application. There's other places that do yellow lipsticks

Melrose: I agree with both OCC Traffic and Lime Crime New Yolk City. NYC applies 100% pigmented in the first swipe, it's intense. complete opacity.

New Yolk City applies beautifully though I always top extreme colors like that with a matte shadow because it can settle into lines otherwise, still the pigmentation is beautiful. I actually prefer Ka'oir Banana Milkshake for something with some sheen and sparkle, though the application is a bit meh. But I think it's more flattering to me than the plain matte yellow. All in all I'd have liked MAC to go a bit more bold with those yellows.

Thanks for all the recommendations ladies. I was initially really, really interested in this collection and now I'm not so sure. The colors look like mac stuff I already own and I was hoping for more for the playland lippie. I'm off from work on Thursday so I guess I'll go check it out in person.

Look at your wrist.  If your veins are blue, you're cool.  If your veins are green, you're warm. If you can't tell, then you are likely neutral.

Best way to know your undertone look at your veins in your wrist. If they are more blue your are cool, if they are green you are warm if they are a combo of blue and green you are neutral.

This doesn't work to tell what your faces undertones is. This method is so outdated. This only halfway works to tell what the undertone of your wrists are. You need to look at your face to determine your undertone, not your wrists. If you notice a golden colour, you're warm. If you notice a more blue/pink tone, you're cool. If you're an equal mixture, you're neutral.

My legs are cool, my wrists are cool, my hands are warm, my chest is warm, but my face can pull neutral or warm. The whole vein thing is crap (and i mean that is the kindest way).

Girl I can not do wires either...but I buy all my bras with wire...then take my little kit and take out the wire.
