There once was an MA that posted how she hated when she spent time doing someone's lips and then they would smoosh and rub their lips together. For months I fought hard to stop doing that after reading her post but in the end, it was a losing battle.I dab but I don't smoosh. I'm not a lip smoosher. I dab and then sometimes blot with a tissue or pat with a finger, but no smoosh for me. I find it doesn't keep the lipstick evenly distributed on the lip, plus it's making your lips do something weird and strenuous that's probably better to avoid. NO SMOOSH!

There was a thread a while back that was all DAB AND SMOOSH. I can't remember which lippie or cellection it was but the term stuck in my head.

I can't stand that! I always tell my clients to "ma ma ma" their lips, just press them together (i even show an example), and then they start rubbing their lips together, and it pushes all the colour outside the lipline and screws everything up. Then i gotta fix it all

I so agree.. the motion of smooshing takes it's toll over time and you form wrinkles where there was no need for them. Agree too on the messing up the products already on lips. I love to use my pinky.. lol. MamaGreyness has had lpbrushes for forever and says I need to use mine. HA.

I couldn't smoosh even if I wanted to. With my lip shape, when I do, it ends up all over the outside of my lips.
