My daughter had hers out in January and two were impacted. She was in the chair for 25 minutes tops. Felt pretty good the following two days then had a bad weekend, sore and swollen. Totally back to normal after a week though.

Good luck.

And make sure you ice the first day -- it will really help with the swelling.
Ouchie! I'm hoping it'll just swell a bit then.

Thank you and thanks for all the tips ladies!! I'll probably be reading up on posts on here while I recover!

It's better to go at It all at once. You'll get it done but if you can: go for the gas additionally to the novocaine .... That way you won't feel a thing. You will be ok in 3ish days. I was a zombie cause the first two days I refused the pain killers. Lol yea right.

Wisdom teeth people! I just want to pipe in with my experience in case it makes you feel better! I just had my top ones taken out and one had grown out completely sideways. I didn't have anesthesia or anything, it took less than 60 seconds (not kidding!) and within seconds of having the second one yanked out I was asking if I could keep them. I just had the basic painkiller injections at the site and I didn't feel a thing. I was talking fine by the end of the day and by the next day it was like it never happened. I wasn't groggy, I wasn't sore, they gave me a prescription for Vicodin but I never used anything other than Ibuprofen and it didn't even swell. I swear I was actually worried because I feel like yanking bones out of your jaw should hurt at some point in a normal person, but it never did. And yes, I got to keep them, thinking of making super creepy earrings ;)

Haha that made me laugh so much…. you kept the teeth?! HAHAHA You need to post your teeth earrings somewhere on this site when you do make 'em. Haha
You must have a really high pain tolerance though. And I hope my experience is as simple and painless.

I wish I had kept the one I had pulled, but it didn't occur to me until I after I left the dentist office.

@alexisweaver Oh geez good luck ;_;' I hope it goes well! I'm scheduled the 6th to go back to my dentist and speak with a specialist because they -think- my bottom right wisdom tooth, which just started coming up, might be growing sideways. And heaven knows they may be right, because lately I haven't been able to chew in peace. I'm constantly catching a teeny bit of my right cheek -_- I seriously don't want to go through the removal of it...so really, I hope everything turns out okay for you. >_< I'll be a nervous wreck if they tell me I need to do it, and that's because I hate the removal of anything after the damn cysts I had removed.

Thanks everyone! And hopefully you get good news @AdelieDragon!

BOT:
I don't know yet if I want to get backups of the lippies. Especially since they all pretty much do seem easy to be duped. I think I'm going to get one set of backups and call it a day. I usually get 3 sets.

I feel like we've been waiting forever for this collection.

Yeah the dates haven't changed. My MAC store is having a release party or w/e it's called and I made an appt for the Playland collection on the 17th. Woooo excited!! ……….Even though I probably will be in pain because I'm getting my wisdom teeth out the day before.

I haven't finished catching up on this thread yet, but I see some people had pretty bad experiences having their wisdom teeth out so I thought I would jump in and hopefully make you feel a little more at ease. I had all 4 out at once, and I wasn't in a lot of pain. I actually don't think I even used any of the pain meds they prescribed for me, just some regular aspirin when I was getting achy. Admittedly, I didn't go to an event at a makeup counter the next day, so not entirely sure how that will work out for you, but maybe the pretty colors will be a nice distraction from any leftover discomfort

That sounds good then that a lot of people are saying they didn't need their pain meds. I seriously hope it's not that bad. I can take a deep breath now!

Lol idk how that'll work either but I'm going to try! Everyone there will probably be frustrated with me and looking at me like I'm batty to come in for makeup after a surgical procedure. Nothing gets in the way of a girl and her makeup!

I took my meds on an empty stomach, got sick, and got dry sockets on both bottom teeth (had all 4 removed at once). The WORST pain ever!!! What ever you do, don't drink from a straw or do anything that will cause you to throw up. Just a forewarning.

When I got my wisdom teeth out, I had to get an additional four teeth removed (8 teeth at once!). I was 15, and my orthodontist wanted to give me braces but my mouth was so small, that basically all my teeth couldn't fit in my mouth. It sucked. And even worse was like a week later, one of the teeth got infected so I had to go to the doctor so they could drain the wound....ugh gross I know. Make sure to take care of your gums afterwards so yours don't get infected! I hope your tooth removal goes smoothly, and as pain-free as possible
