This may be waaaay off topic but I'm more excited about the Aquatic collection than anything (the packaging is gorgeous and its also right before my birthday).

After seeing the Playland lipstick colors/swatches (of which MAC has already released several dupes for), I lost interest in this collection. I only wanted the Bright Side lipglass but it doesn't even provide any pigmentation. I was super excited to get a yellow lipglass but what's the point if I can just get a nude/clear one that wears the exact same? SKIP!!!
Girl, me too! That yellow lip glass had soooo much potential! I was really excited for it. HUGE letdown.

Coming from the most impatient person (me), I think we should all just be patient.

Yes, we know the online date is pushed back to the 15th and in-store to the 17th. Yes, MAC did a bad job at updating all of the correct people for the date changes. Yes, it sucks and is really inconvenient and confusing. But guess what? It's out of our hands. If they pushed back the dates to ensure they had enough product or if something is wrong with product and they wanted to ensure they got it right, then that's great and I commend MAC for not wanting to put out shitty product. Because let's be honest, if MAC would've released everything at the original dates and the product wasn't great (loose term) or there wasn't enough produced, everybody would complain and then say MAC isn't fair or money hungry (or something like that idk). I'm sorry to sound bitchy but every post is becoming a repeat of the other and nothing is really being said. I know I complained a bit earlier but I'm over it. The collection will be out next week and everybody will be happy.

And this is a general statement, it's not directed towards one particular person.
And I agree with you, Jennifae!
I can understand that. I guess it's just given me more time to think about how much I really want these lipsticks... and after going over swatches again and again, they're fairly dupeable and I'm not sure they are something I will wear much. I was only considering TA and RB - I have something similar to RB, and I'm not sure TA will look good on my NW13 skin, I'm afraid it will be too warm. I guess if nothing else I will try TA at the counter but I'm just not gonna worry about the online launch anymore.

I'm going off of your avi photo, but I think TA would look really nice on you and compliment your skin well.

Anyone else think the delay might be due to the other two CC's that never got sent to bloggers?  :hmm:   Maybe there are production issues they are trying to resolve?

If that's the case, I'd rather wait a few more days than get crappy stuff.  :peace:
I think so, which let's us know how close to production these collections are before they're sent to stores and put online. There's very little room for error and apparently things just went wrong this go around. I'm just hoping for that 15th and that nothing else crazy comes up.

Yes! The yellows in this collection are such a bummer :( I was expecting this canary yellow pigmented lipstick and really yellow lipglass, don't tease me MAC.

I shared this in the Sephora thread and thought there might be some interest here too... so here ya go dolls...

With the Playland Collection just around the corner, I've been trying to search through the brights in my collection. Overall, I think I'm fairly satisfied with what I have and most likely will only get 1 lippie and maybe a pigment. But for those feeling the lemming hard for Spring & Summer Neon and Brights... Sephora launched 4 new shades of BRIGHT lipsticks! The placard in the store said "SEPHORA COLLECTION NEON ROUGE CREME" but online it seems its called "Escape To Rio."  http://www.sephora.com/escape-to-rio-rouge-cream-lipstick-P385610?skuId=1567429
And they have cute names too (although those names aren't listed on the website): Flamingo, Hot Bikini, Samba, and Cougar!

They retail for $12.50 and would be a pretty good buy especially during this week's Sephora 15% sale! SO, for those wanting some new brights here's some pics!!

Left to Right: Flamingo, Hot Bikini, Samba, and Cougar (swatches taken outside in natural lighting. Shows the shade pretty well but lacks a little of the brightness that they have in real life)

Hello again! I am on my lunch break at work right now. I checked in the back of the store. We don't have theses lipsticks at all. When I do a search on the Sephora website, the only place in my area that has them right now is at the JCPenney Sephora's. Sometimes items will pop up there before they hit the main Sephora store. Some items are exclusive to JCPenney. Thank you for the head's up on this pretty collection. :)

I agree. I just want good products. Yes, the delays are a bummer, but I'll wait if I have to!

I saw the Playland Collection this morning at Nordstrom. All CC were there and I tried them all. So there shouldn't be issue with CC creating this launch date disaster.

Either way, I can wait a few more days. I've been waiting for this collection since January... what's 5 more days, right? It'll give me a chance to enjoy my By Request goodies.

Hi! I've been reading specktra for a while to get my MAC fix but I've never posted anything.

I can't quite remember, but has anyone shown swatches to compare these lipsticks to similar lipsticks? My list so far is Red Balloon, Happy Go Lucky, Toying Around, and Sweet Experience. I was checking out Temptalia earlier and it seems that Impassioned, Candy Yum Yum, Elegant Accent, and Rose Lily (not permanent but I already own) would be possible dupes for those lippies (in the same order). To the people who have been able to get their hands on these lipsticks... what do you think? I would love to be able to save some money on these if I can find something permanent. That way by haul won't be so large at once!

Thanks in advance!!

I haven't seen them in person yet, but from swatches, I think Red Balloon is almost like a mix of Impassioned and Girl About Town. I already have both, but Red Balloon looks so pretty that I will be getting it. I think Happy Go Lucky is very similar to Candy Yum Yum, but I only have it in a palette, and it is matte, so I will be getting Happy Go Lucky, too. I think Elegant Accent is pretty close to Toying Around, but I don't have it to compare. I love corals, though, and even though I have a lot of others like Vegas Volt, Coral Bliss, Hibiscus, Costa Chic, etc., I will still be getting Toying Around.I think Rose Lily is too different from Sweet Experience because of finish to even compare. I will most likely be getting all the lipsticks in this collection because I just love the colors!

These lipsticks look so gorgeous in pictures that I've seen! I've never tried amplified finish lipsticks so I'm really curious about them. I'll definitely need to try these all on before I buy them. I'm considering getting Red Balloon and Happy Go Lucky regardless of how dupable they are. They just scream spring & summer!! Plus finish-wise, I might prefer Happy Go Lucky over Candy Yum Yum. April 17th needs to get here already!

Totally, and either way we are still getting it!! I dont mind, as i will have more spending money next week anyway!! And if they released it some places and not others, or with half the amount of product that would have made everyone pissed off. as long as i get my playland on im pleased
