Totally. I love heroine on it's own! But I know some people are leery of it, especially at work (I work in a conservative office, myself), and the playland does a nice job of toning it down. I hope MAC comes out with more layerable colors like Playland in the future. I love mixing my MAC lippies together!

Me too

I go to some pretty conservative places too and still rock Heroine. But that is just me. Each to their own! It is still a good combo on you

Thanks! I'm the only woman in my office that wears any noticeable makeup. Every single other person has on either no makeup at all, or they wear barely-there makeup (basically just foundation and some mascara). I have certainly been enjoying pushing the envelope around here! I don't want to take it too far, too soon, though, or they might just ask me to go back to only natural makeup. I envy those of you who are able to wear whatever you want. That would be awesome!! I hope that my makeup inspires some of the other employees in my office. Why shouldn't work be a bright and happy place?

What liner did you use Mandy?
Oddly enough, I went with Chicory. Not exactly an obvious choice, but it seemed to fix whatever it was that I didn't like about Sweet Experience on me. I have probably 20-30 Mac liners, though, so I will have to play around with some other combos!

I don't work now (I quit after my daughter was born), but I can relate. Actually, my office might have been even more strict. I certainly would never have been able to wear a color like Heroine to work. I'm just glad that I don't have to worry about that now that I am a stay at home mom! I can rock a purple lip whenever I want! I might go put it on right now... I think it will coordinate very nicely with the baby food I have on my shirt! LOL, so glamorous!

I work with a bunch of computer guys (I'm the tech writer). They all look at me funny with my "crazy" makeup or pink hair, but no one has the balls to say anything lol. I don't go too far because I'm also afraid they will decry natural makeup only.

Girl I am totally with you! It would be easier for everyone if the world was a bright happy place. I take my mother to a lot of hospital's for her heart. I wear what ever color I want. I had to stop caring what others thought. My mother felt so bad for me because these doctors would talk down to me all because I would wear my bright or dark lippies. I told her I didn't care what they thought of me as long as she gets the help she needs. Granted I look like a bitch and yes I am one lol. I hope you can get some ladies at your office to push the envelope with you!

Anyone seen comparison swatches of TA versus other MAC lipsticks?  I checked T's site, but she has comparisons to a bunch of other MAC lippies that are fairly random and brands that are way out of my price range (sticker shock!)   I am thinking WMS is close.  Trying to convince myself I don't *need* it.  I wore RB today for the first time and I love it.  It is like a brighter, creamier version of Love Goddess for me.  It is a bit drying though, I am going to have to balm it up tonight!
