MAC Pret a Papier Discussion

For this collection, I might have to cut my list in half. I still want Coral Crepe paint pot though. It does remind me of Perky paint pot, even though I don't own that paint pot, and I wonder how worthy are the eyeshadows/lipsticks in this collection.

I am hoping that Memoriabilia e/s will have a better texture than in past collections. I saw a FOTD using it, and now it is creeping onto my list. 2 e/s and 1 blush from this collection, I think. But all are maybe's.

It will be money saved if so, but I'm a sucker for purples!

Does anybody know what was the deal with some previous Memorabilias marked as frosts? I'm having a horrible feeling if mine is fake because of that and I'm too scared to use it.

Mine is authentic bought from a MAC store and it says that it is a frost as well. I think that it was just a glitch in production. I am sure that yours is safe to use.

Katie, what do you think of it? How is the texture, blendability, payoff? This is one of two shadows I am considering from this collection.

It is a really pretty soft dusty purple. It is not too dark and not too bright which makes it really wearable for work. I wear it a lot with illegal cargo and digit eye shadows.

It isn't as blendable as a matte2 but I have never found it difficult to work with or blend. If you have a lot of purples it most likely can be skipped. It isn't the most unique color although it is pretty.

hhmmmmm well i have such bit lists for other collectiosn i am wondeirng if i should even skip the new paint pot. perhaps when swacthes come out and people say it's a must have and amazing colour, i will get it. but for now i shall put it to the back of my mind

I'm excited for this collection. I want Instant Chic blush, Coral Crepe paint pot, Kraft lipstick, Fold & Tuck and Pret-A-Papier lipglass, and all the eyeshadows except bamboo.

Sometimes I really feel like the theme is disconnected from the actual product. The themes of this and Love Lace throw me off for some reason. I don't understand how they really, truly relate to the collection of makeup, it just feels thrown together to me. The makeup looks beautiful but I'm having trouble grasping the concept. :/

I'm interested in the paintpot, but that's all on my (very) tentative list for now.

So usually with this collection there is also a Nordstrom exclusive quad...has anyone heard if this will be happening as usual? Though I will probably skip this entire collection, the quad still usually manages to reel me in.

that is something that i had forgotten about actually! maybe there will be no exclusive quad this year?

I hope there is a super awesome quad, because the rest of this collection is kinda blah. Of course, that may be because I haven't seen swatches, either.
