MAC Pret a Papier Discussion

Saw Coral Crepe today but didn't get it. Paradisco looks awful on me and I felt like it would look similar but even worse. Gazette Grey swatched pretty nicely on my hand vs what I was expecting but I decided I didn't need that either...which was lucky since my counter was sold out of it, lol.

I started my new job today and wore a cute new nautical printed dress that is navy with little coral bows all over it. Being the keener that I am, I totally matched my makeup to what I was wearing. I did a navy smokey eye, Ripe Peach on the cheeks, and Made to Order with Cut to Fit on the lips. It was a big hit with my boss; she was dragging people from across the office to take a look! haha I felt like an animal in a zoo

I'm just waiting for the lab to get back to me; the full biopsy results will be out in 2-3 weeks' time. Let's just hope it's a benign mass and nothing more.

Sad to say, I'm still pining for my surgeon! No cute doctors this time round because I got referred to a female doctor (she's nice though), but I met a cute anesthetist in the operating theatre.

I'm thankful he's good with needles, because that was the quickest and least painful IV needle insertion ever, not to mention there was hardly any bruising when the IV was taken out. Impressive!

Hi gorgeous!! So glad to hear you're feeling better!! Don't worry hun, things will turn out just fine! I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Mmm Winnie, it looks like you have a thing for MDs. It's nice you got a different surgeon this time, that way now, there's non ethical matters to consider...

So nice you got someone who's that impressive with needles, that not really easy to get!

Yes I just realized that I have a thing for MDs too. But that also kind of sucks because I don't think I will ever stand a chance of snagging a MD (the only times I see them is when I'm a patient receiving treatment)...

Maybe I should've gone to med school instead of studying psychology. Sigh. P.S. My wound started oozing yellow/green stuff yesterday, and today it has started seeping blood... Scary!!!

I'm going to see my doctor tomorrow to find out what's wrong.

Btw I'll like to ask if Dressmaker, Dressmaker is a nude/neutral sort of lippie? Coz I don't do nudes too often, and I'm still trying desperately to cut down on my list. (I love the name of the lippie though!!!) Hehe. Any feedback on Archetype lippie? That one looks pretty interesting to me, but I don't know how wearable it'll be, but it could always be used for layering...

On me Dressmaker^2 is a more nude colour (or as nude as I can get), so if you need to do some cutting and prefer bold lippies, you could cut it.

I ordered these yesterday:

Dressmaker
Made to Order
Tissueweight
Instant Chic
Coral Crepe

I'm a bit unsure about Coral Crepe and Tissueweight but I guess I'll see them when they arrive. Might pick up the lighter chromagraphic pencil in Harvey Nicks too.

Definitely try it with the coral paint pot! From what I read in your signature, we are the same coloring, so it should work nicely on you too.

I put Swiss Chocolate in the crease, but the MA suggested Rule as well.

The interview went OK. I'm not really good at judging how well those sort of things go, though. They did ask for my references, which I figure they wouldn't have if they didn't want to follow-up. We'll see...now comes the waiting game.

That's a good sign! I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed for you!

I am pretty sure I will be getting Coral Crepe p/p and maybe Memorabilia + Gazette Grey when the collection is out here, but I am not sure about those... (well - pretty sure about the paint pot!!! I am a coral freak!!

I went to get Superglass today and wanted to check out Instant Chic that my friend told me about but I hadnt read up on all the things in this collection so I wasnt sure if it was in it or not. I did see there was a blush missing from the display and asked the MUA about it. I couldnt remember the name at the time and said "it's Chic" something and I think it came out with Pret a Papier. I said to her "I see one is missing and asked if it was "chic" and she said she couldnt remember the name and that whatever it was had sold out within a day or two. She went and asked the other MUA's and I heard her say "do any of you know about Chic blush" and they all looked at her with no clue and shook their head NO. When I came home I found out it was indeed in this collex. I'm surprised none of them new the name either!

haha I'm not that surprised - often the girls at all 3 counters that I buy from aren't sure of the names and have to check. Or when I come up and ask for something specific from a new collection they get a blank look on their faces. I suppose that between update and when they get the products in, they forget. Nevertheless, I would think that when you prompted her with "Chic", that would've helped her remember!
