Yes, I hope I can pursue my dreams too, and not succumb to "tradition", although the pressure never ceases...

Yup, I saw in the newspaper that Robinsons had a launch event. Did you manage to go?

I sure wished I was able to get out of the house to see the collection for myself though. Sigh.

You should rest and soon you will feel good as new! Maybe you can go for a short walk outside and catch some fresh air, depending on what your doctor advises. I know it is stifling to be cooped up in the house.

I didn't go and I haven't seen the collection yet. It is also available at Tangs now. Work is really busy and tiring me out.

Hope I can visit the beauty counters this weekend. Isetan is having a promotion, where 10% voucher is given for every $50 spent for members and I plan on buying makeup and skincare.

. I got Nars Gilda blush a week before this collex came out and I find the blushes in Pret-a-papier pale in comparison. Besides Gilda, I also already have Deep Throat and BB nectar shimmer brick. Don't even get me started on my pinky coral lipsticks, got a zillion of those too

. I might even skip the Beach or only get 1-2 items.

Are Nars blushes the best blushes around? I'm going to get some Nars this September, when my fellow makeup addict friend is going overseas where there is Nars. I plan on getting Torrid, Orgasm, Angelika or Desire already, and the list is growing. Now I am tempted with Gilda.

Thanks for your thoughts, maybe I will skip IC and Hipness too. I have BB nectar shimmerbrick too!

It stays fine on me. I have oily lids, so i prime them with MUFE Full coverage concealer and MAC matte. Then I use the paint pot. This is my summer/warm weather formula. In the winter, just the paint pot is fine.

I have not tried it as a blush.

So, I guess out of lack of anything better to do, I bought Cut to Fit. Seems like it'll suit me better than antiqued and coppering. Still not down with gazette grey. No sir. So I have 3 of the 4 shadows from this collection.

Cut to Fit is pretty. I like it better than Antiqued.

Well, I am your adopted mother & I say go for the PhD!

Seriously - not everybody can do that - go for YOUR dreams dear. And, I was going to say what Hypathya said - go for what you want & you'll prolly meet the right guy along the way.

Coral crepe looks lovely on the cheeks in that pic.

Aww, I will be pretty darn pleased if I have the honor of being adopted by YOU!

We can probably play with makeup all day long too, as mother-daughter bonding sessions.

Sigh, if only my mother were like you, I might be a happier and more carefree soul...

Here's what I've tried so far:

Waterline - Looked ok, but had zero staying power for me. Disappointing.

Lower lash line (with something else on the waterline) - Hmm, I'm 50/50 on this. I lined my waterline with Feline and used the CP under it and it seemed to add a pop of light/awakeness to my eyes without being obvious. That part was nice, but I have no idea how long it held on. Will have to try this again and pay more attention.

Inner eye corner/outer eye corner - Here's where this product shines for me. Some days I have some redness on the inner and outer eye corners, and using this pencil was a simple fix. It's not shimmery, so it doesn't really "highlight" in that way, but for me it's a very nice awake/alert/not hungover effect...tones down the redness without leaving a frosty mess around my eyes (which on me can look tragic really quickly).

I think you can also use it to spot conceal and around (not on) your lips. I haven't tried either of those options yet. Overall, I think I like it...but I won't be purchasing another pencil in the future, if that says anything.

I have Cheeky Bronze and I don't like it much as a blush/highlighter but I never thought to use it as an eyeshadow. I'm going to try this out for sure.

Oh that is so so sweet of you

I do mean it! Oh yes, I have makeup on the brain most of the time so that would be fun for sure. I give you permission to be happy - all by yourself my dear

The pencils are ok for most of the reasons posted.

Any thoughts on this? TIA!

I saw this collection today. Found Coral Crepe and Instant Chic to be very pretty, but I didn't purchase anything. I hope I can be strong and pass this collection.

i saw this collection in the store the other day and all i walked away with was croal crepe paint pot as i suspected i would. everything else was ok - just felt like i didn't need anything because nothing jumped out at me that much! coral crepe is great though. from memory it looks like rubanesque but minus the shimmer and slightly more coral.

Yep! I can't remember if I've posted the swatches on the swatch thread, so I'll have to direct you to my swatches here.
