Mac Pro Palettes discussion

I do not want the new at all. I like the old ones. I got to play with a new one and it was not for me.
I don't like how thick the new ones are; I like my two basic black covered old ones. :)

Hope everyone can find the new/old palettes you're looking for!

You can't fit new domed products in the new single layer palette, at least the MSFN and MB that I tried. The lid will not close. Used MB fit in fine but that's because the dome has been worn down.
Yes, the PRO inserts I'm talking about look like the 2nd photo. That's basically what I'm picturing for the lip tars, but I don't know if it will actually work.
You are correct. The PRO wells inserts do not have holes. However I think that the lip tar consistency is to liquid to keep in the palette. Cream products work best. Enkore has a video in how to make lip tars into a lipstick/cream if you still wanted to depot.

are the old palettes still available in the stores? online they are 'sold out'...so i suspect i can't get them anymore. i kinda wanted to get three more blush old style blush palettes. i have 15 blushes to depot, so i'll have three extra spots i can fill throughout the next few months....

for the eyeshadows i still have in their pots, i'll probably get one double sided new palette.

i like the cream product inserts, but i was wondering - do you think one well fits an entire lipstick, or only part? does having it in a palette make it more susceptible to expire?

for labelling i've been using white china pencil...hopefully i can use the same method or maybe a red/black one.....

Thanks for confirming. Yes, I saw Enkore's video posted in the OCC thread. I'm completely amazed by it.

I still see the old style palettes online and they are available for purchase.
Yup, I ordered a blush palette last friday and it arrived today. My Burnt Pepper is happy in it's new home. Now to get it some roomates lol. I figured that it would cost me less to get the older style and they are pretty nice.

I'm contemplating buying some of the blush palettes. I'm not particular on whether there is a clear lid on those or not. Not sure though. I like the look of the new palettes but $18 + the price of an insert is a debatable price. But $16 or a blush palette is purty tempting.

The price is why I got the old style. The new style looks really pretty but for one it's hard to find and two it's costly so I just got an old style one. Now I can't wait to fill it with Pro blushes lol.

i's love to switch lol but i dont wanna spend the cash till next year
yeah, it's enough just finding the spending money for makeup...now we gotta buy new storage too!!

actually i don't think i'm going to switch over entirely for that reason....i'll try to stick to old palettes, and when those are impossible to find i'll start getting the new kind....i don't mind having different types of palettes -- although the clear cover is definitely a plus!

For anyone who is interested in purchasing old style palettes from the US MAC site, DRAW is an overnight shipping code. I believe it expires Monday night.

I'm dying to know more about the alleged double layer one, I don't want to invest in a new one if a more awesome one is on the way...
