Yeah! We started that this week. Most people tend to forget to pass them out though. And we are trying to set up a chart system for every 2 you sell you get a star and at the end of fiscal we're gonna do prices, but in trying to cut down waste, we aren't doing reprints, so its hard to keep track :s
Do you know if there is a way to know how many actual viva glams have been sold? I tried doing it by inventory but its usually off

i think it will be in the "mix of business" report, that gets emailed to the manager.

what i did was made a spreadsheet with the artists names and their week goal down the side and then sun-sat across the top. we posted it by the register and everyone writes little tick marks in their box for that day, at the end of the week we will have the total, but that way we dont have to reprint. i also made a more detailed spreadsheet for us to keep in the managers binder, it was the month goal broken down and we are able to transfer the #s from the week sheet by the register to that log so we have those numbers for the conference calls. i have one of the artists making a viva glam inspo board and it will have all our names written on little paper lips on it, and have everyones goals and as we get closer to our goals are lips will get moved up.

did you try that equation up there to get your goals?

Hey Erin!
I did ask my manager, about it being 5% of our goal, but I think because we are a bit behind, and we need to sell 16k in 2 months we have higher goals. Full time is 4+ every shift, Part time is 2+ every shift.

Im hoping to make our goal for that!

You are doing so much! Omg you should get the VG Amb to take over that project, busy lady!

Im still working on the board, and I think a good incentive that doesn't require spenditure is like sell XX amount and get a sat of your choice (with mgr approval) off. Or sell XXX and make your schedule for a week. Usually this gets people more excited than gratis.

^^ yeah i think im passing off the reigns to her on that. i figured i could do the hard part, like setting up the goals and the spreadsheets, everything else im leaving to her. she did the inspo board, and shes going to come up with viva glam themes and contest and whatever else she can do to be successful. im basically grooming her for product specialist, since im in my 2nd term. eventually i will move up so someone will have to do it. im hoping that at least in the next year (maybe 2) i will be in to training. my trainer has been grooming me and she always says "when you become a trainer...." or "luck at us trainers leading with the most booked appointments..." so hopefully she will move up and then i can step into her role! but we shall see.

That is soo cool! Im so happy for you, I do think we are really blessed to have our jobs, and specially because if you want to move up, they will help you get there. You just have to work hard, scratch their backs an they scratch yours! I can see you doing training, because just by how informative, and helpful your post are online!

One of my co-workers has been helping facilitate classes at Pro, and different locations Studio talk. Also shes helped out at Basic, so thats a good sign for her. Shes on the impact team! Thats my next goal, Impact. I want to move up God willing in the future, but in management

That looks so fun and the airbrush looks amazing! Lucky! We didn't get to do anything fun like that. Can't wait to be PS so I can plan fun stuff like this :p

oh thats not airbrush, i work at a regular freestanding store, thats all regular mac makeup!! we mixed solar bits (scatterays) with strobe cream and put it all over her body traced out the "animal skin" with spiked. then we used dipdown and black track to actually create the animal skin. by mixing a lil fast response on a brush we were able to shade around the cloak giving it deminsion and with rice paper we highlighted the edges. the spots were done with dipdown, black track, copper sparkle pigment and nylon to highlight. the zebra stripes were blacktrack and crystal avalanche. its was really fun! and it grabbed a lot of attention and helped to boost sales, people wanted to know what was going on. alot of people thought she was a manaquin until she blinked!

resurrecting this thread for any "style black" ideas.

we are gonna get some models male and female and i plan on have a local designer who specializes in couture bustiers and cage skirts create a look for us, that model will have one of the theatrical looks from our book, while the other models will be dressed in edgy street clothes provided by express (they are right across from us) and their looks will be more wearable, to show both sides of the collection.

for the nail collection next week we are having a nail tech come in and if a customer buys 3 items she will give a complimentary mini manicure with the new polishes.

what do you guys have going on at your locations?

Come on people lets keep this thread rolling I think its great for us to help each other out.

Any Ideas for theme days for the New Spring Colour Forecast? We are a small team of 4 at our counter and I figured We can do a theme day where each of us can pick on of the 4 collections & do a monochromatic look. With on being a Dramatic, & Collection look while the other 2 rock Beauty Looks.

If any of you have any ideas for contest let me know because I want to start doing different contest for our counter.

ugh! they sent us ugly shirts for the launch!! the shirts keep getting worse and worse. these are paper thin and they are plain, no mac logo, no collection name, just the solid colors of the collection. i will be 7 months pregnant when this launches, if i wear the orange shirt i will look like a basket ball!

for starters im breaking my staff into team pink, team purple, team orange and team bronze and have them bring in magazine clippings that rep their team color so i can do the theme board. we talked about maybe getting wigs that match the collection, i dunno, still need to brainstorm.

We did a peacock theme day for Dare to Wear with bright eyes and peacock-y accessories. Not the most creative of themes, but it definitely got people interested.

On that note, we're having a hard time getting the girls at my counter inspired to participate in theme days and a harder time coming up with really good ideas. Anyone have some good general themes that really inspires your store/counter?
