There is an nw15 in the prolong concealer..just not in the foundation.

Is this at counters yet? I'm really excited about the foundation. I have super oily skin and it's supposed to control surface oil, right? How does it compare to studio fix fluid in controlling oil? Is it good for acne prone skin? Is it too sheer to cover acne and redness? Thanks for any answers!

If it's out now I think I'll go try it out tomorrow.

Thanks for the pictures. This combination looks lovely. I thought my 30+ lipsticks would be enough for me, but now I have to get also Unlimited.

Back on topic: I've been thrilled with the Mineralize Foundation SPF 15 (the cream one) - I used Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer for years and this made me give it up. All this talk about how perfect this new one is is tempting, but it doesn't sound like the best thing for dry skin
th_dunno.gif

Definitely going to try the concealer though. If only it could magically de-puff the bags

the MAC Mineralize Fndn? as much as I liked it on others, it made me look like an oil slick.. but, the LM TM works perfectly although I still have to use the LM Min powdr on top to give me some coverage (lots of little brown spots called Freckles

).... the new prolongewear should not be drying on you.. it has not been drying for me.

oh, and I do understand your idea about the flocked puffy lips

I like Mattenes too, so I'm hoping these lipsticks will be somewhat similar, or even better!
tong.gif
There are quite a few that I want, but I guess I'll buy a couple at first to see how they are.

HerGreyness, I believe you said these were like mattenes- that's what I meant.

I don't know what color to get, though. They're all so gorgeous! Which ones will look best on NW15. You know I'll get the purple one

I have the original box and receipt, but it's been over a month.

it depends on where you bought it. if it was at a store, you've passed the 30-day return policy. if it was macy's or nordies, then you can return/exchange since you still have the box and receipt.

i comes out tmrw.
SFF is medium-full coverage, natural-matte finish.
PLW is medium coverage, natural finish, 15-hr wear, transfer-, sweat- and humity-resisitant (all of which no other foundation is).
all skin types can use it and it does have enough coverage, but not as much as SFF.

Thanks! What is a 'natural' finish? Do you think I could get the same coverage as SFF if I combined it with the PLW concealer? Is there any powder I can set it with that would give me a matte finish? (I use blot powder to set SFF.)

I am concerned that the coverage won't be enough for me, and that it wont be matte enough. As I said, I have EXTREMELY oily skin (and acne to go along with it) and pretty much have a shine by default. However if it really does last as long as they say it does, then it might be worth the trade off, because my face literally melts off after 8 hours some days! I do like the sound of it being transfer resistant, too. SFF ALWAYS comes off on my boyfriends clothes and it's kind of embarrassing! And if it's heat and humidity resistant, where was this foundation 3 months ago?!
tong.gif

Still going to give it a good try, hopefully I can get a decent sample to help me decide.

Flocked puffy lips -it's ONLY A MATTER OF TIME

The best thing for me about the MAC MFSP15 (besides the perfect color match - I'm lucky like that) is my skin actually feels softer at the end of the day when I take it off - the LM TM didn't moisturize me up as well as that.

The drawback is that I have to apply it pretty carefully for it to look its best - building up the coverage slowly so it doesn't get thick. Not so great if you're super rushed for time, but I just skip foundation when I'm that rushed - either nothing or just some quickie primer or bronzer.

I like the satin finish for my skin, since my biggest skin issue is dullness and dryness, as opposed to lots of redness or pores (which I find I only get when I'm using the wrong moisturizing products or using serum too often under my moisturizer).

Still, I'm certainly going to trawl for a free sample of the new foundation to try it out

natural finish means it isn't matte, it isn't satiny. it looks like "normal" skin. the concealer is medium to full coverage on its own, so unless you're applying the concealer all over your face, followed by the foundation, then no, you won't get the same coverage of SFF with the conbination of the two. setting it with blot powder is gonna be the mattest look you can get with this foundation. it won't be as matte as SFF tho.

get a sample and try it out. that way you don't have to buy it and waste it.

Are these Longwears permanent?
I hope so; I'd ignored this collection until now, because I saw "Longwear," and thought, "Ugh; more of those disgusting two-part jobs!"
Not so, obviously ...
I think Digi Pops has caused me to reach "lipstick saturation," because, astoundingly, I'm just not interested in more lipsticks now ...
thud.gif

But I do want to try these sometime in the future.

I bought it at a MAC counter in Canada at The Bay.I will attempt to return it as I am planning on going tomorrow to check out the new collection. If they don't let me, no biggie.

I used my sample of the foundation first half of the day today, but it felt kind of dry and caky on my skin. In the afternoon I took it off and tried some Clinique Anti Blemish foundation that I also have a sample of and I think I like that one more. But the color might be too dark

I have tomorrow off from work and I'm tempted to schedule a make-over and check out all of this new stuff... but they're also saying it might snow here tomorrow and staying in bed all morning is looking more and more appealing. But I'm so excited for the concealer/lipstick!
