MAC - Prolongwear Discussion

I'm really really excited for this foundation... I've been trying out a couple new foundations and not really having much luck.

My MA at my counter was telling me about this foundation and how amazing it is. She thinks the best way to apply it is with your fingers.

I like the look of the dark plum and the purple lippies. It doesn't bother me enormously that they aren't as long-wearing as they claim (although I'd appreciate not paying a premium based on the idea that they are). I detest the other Prolongwear lip stuff. Like rubbing wet clay on my lips and feeling it set, then topping it off with vegetable oil.

Are all of those products gonna be added to the perm line?? Will they be available at counters too? There are a lot of perm products that aren't available there...

Brushes, pro longwears, dazzleglasses...

I'm really excited about the longwearing foundation and concealer. I'm still in search for the perfect concealer too although i do love the MAc select cover. I don't wear MAC foundation now because it doesn't last as long or control oil as much and my revlon colorstay oil free.

they're longwearing like they claim. they just aren't transfer-resistant like they claim. there's a difference.

The foundation would have to be a lot better than my previous experience because so far nothing is topping my 18 hour Lancome one. But if it really lasts, I would love to switch to MAC because it is so much easier to pick a foundation that matches--Lancome leans too pink for me most of the time or the opposite--way too tawny

Here is my little review of the new foundation. I have been wearing my sample of the Pro Longwear for the past few days & I really love it. It gives nice coverage without being as heavy as the Fix Fluid, the color stays true & if I blot with a tissue I only pick up excess oil on it & no foundation which is awesome! I also find that the shades run pretty true in this line & not much darker or lighter. The NC40 that I wear in Fix Fluid is the same shade as the NC40 in the Pro Longwear. I am cherishing my little sample & trying not to use it up too quickly because I know once it's gone I won't get anymore until Sept. I am anxiously awaiting the release of this! Hope I helped anyone who was curious about the new foundation

in terms of coverage and shine, they fall in the same category as satins.

Oh then this is good to know that they will be permanent and the coverage and finish sounds super. I am in need of more foundation too so this is perfect and on time.

I had the opportunity to try this collection yesterday and I loved the foundation! It has a satin finish once it dries and it looks really good. I loved how light-weight it is and how buildible it is, so that you can work on it easily. I didn't notice any transfer after blotting it with tissue paper. Concealer is in a bottle, like those old glimmer shimmer bottles.. Lip cremes are super soft and creamy. I noticed that they are long wearing like lip stains, probably a little less than lip stains because they are more moisturizing. My list contains the foundation and some of the lipcremes, but not sure of the concealer, I should try one more time to decide. I don't know if it is just me or not but it pumps too much stuff out even though I was super careful. Plus I felt that it is kind of thick..
