I do love the foundation so far. I had it on for about 9 hours yesterday and held up a lot better than the studio fix fluid would have given that time frame. It did not go on the least bit shiny. It actually covers quite well too, I was pleasantly surprised by that. I ended up a bit shiny by the end of the day, but again, had I been wearing sff I would have been melting by then.

I'm going to keep wearing the foundation and see if the breakouts continue or not. I really hope they don't because I do really love it!

They didn't break me out but I do remember Suzanne saying a few pages back that she had a bad reaction to the concealer

I am still messing with the coloring. NW45 does not give me the coverage that I like. I keep forgetting to get a NW50 sample. Since there is no NW47 I am going to give that a go. I hope the MUA don't mind me asking for sample cups. I rather sample before buying. I don't want to return anything.

I'm completely disappointed - I really liked the feel and the look of it.

And now the real bummer - when I wanted to return it, the MA didn't want to take it back because I used it.

They don't really have a standard procedure, do they? I already returned 2 items to MAC because they gave me allergy, without any problem. Once I really didn't like the product and the mua at the Pro Store make a face but said nothing - c'mon? They sold me a Chromagraphic Pencil that was supposed to be longwering on the waterline, but on mine it didn't last 5 minutes!

Maybe if you go back and talk with another person?

I bought Good To Go and Faithfully Yours to start with. I've tried FY so far and it is so beautiful! It's amazing! It goes very smoothly on lips, while swatching on my hand it tugged a bit, but not at all on lips!
smiles.gif
It can go very dark if put straight from the tube or with a lip brush, it goes on a little lighter, like a muted purple brownish/greyish berry
tong.gif
, I like it with the lip brush like crazy. Perfect for fall! And I love that these are matte. I'll soon try GTG.

I still want atleast Extended Play and Overtime (which was quite close to Creme Cup, my favorite, but of course more matte and maybe a bit more peachy?).

Maybe I need to give these lip products another try when I go back to a counter. They seemed so dry when I swatched them.

So I settled on NW50 concealer. No foundation in this line is going to give me the color coverage that I need. Crazy shiz, but NW50 foundation in this collection is lighter than the NW45 foundation; and its grey'd out on me. total fail.

The NW50 concealer is perfect for my concealer spots. under my eyes, chin, side of my face. one pump takes care of those places. when blended out, everything looks even. its lightweight too. I can also blend select sheer, MSFN or studio fix powder on top of that when I am in the mood to do so.

i wish they had a better range, but the concealer is the only thing that works with me in the collection. i am good with it. MUFE Mat Velvet is still HG.

If so, how would you compare the two in wear, coverage, etc? (I'm looking at under eye puffiness and dark circles

I rarely use my EP salmon concealer. It is just too heavy and hard core for me anywhere on my face, and just doesn't match me well unless I go into full on color correcting and then use the EP. It also feels greasy to me.

The PLW concealer feels like the select moisture cover concealer on me, but drier if that makes sense. I don't feel like either do anything for puffiness, so I still use my eye creams when I need to (and remember).

Well, Mufe being my favorite brand, I'm glad you still love Mat Velvet

. I'm sorry the Mac foundation didn't work out for you. You still don't like it with the concealer? I always have to do a foundation/concealer combo myself.

Question: If I have NC50 in this foundation, should I go ahead and get the same shade in the concealer? I don't need a lighter concealer to highlight or whatever. I want a color match. Just wondering how the coloring for the concealer runs.
Also, can anyone compare studio finish concealer to this concealer? I love studio finish, but the fact that I love this PLW foundation so much keeps me interested in the concealer.

i recommend getting matched in person with the concealers. they run completely different than the same shade in other concealers. i matched a girl to PLW nc45 and it was too dark, but SFC nc45 was perfect for her.

honestly, i recommend everyone get matched everytime they switch foundation/concealer formulas if they can.

it's only my second day trying the foundation and concealer and so far no problems. the mua who colour matched me and gave me the samples told me that on it can cause certain people to break out, but it really depends from person to person on their skin. apparently the way it stays put is partly due to ingredients that keep the pores from sweating too much, which can clog the pores for some people.

Initial concealer and foundation reaction: love.

I've only worn it one day, so it's a bit too early to know for sure, but so far this combo is wonderful! My skin can be such a bitch, and usually at the three hour mark foundations will start to get gross and slimy, no matter what I do. This didn't! To be honest, my skin started getting shiny around the four hour mark, but it looked like a natural dewiness, and it didn't look like it was the foundation misbehaving.

I used my fingers to apply both products and with the foundation I just used one pump. It covers surprisingly well (and I have quite a bit of finnicky acne scarring).

I know there's been a lot said about the pump on the concealer, but I don't see what the big deal is. Just be careful and it should cooperate.

And finally, as far as colors go, I bought the NC15 foundation and NW15 concealer. They're both lovely (and on my skin not all that different). The NC15 is pinker then I expected, and the NW15 is a lot less pinker then I expected, which is great for me because I have pretty neutral skin. Although, if they had the foundation in NW15 I probably would've preferred it. For reference: I'm N3 in Studio Fix powder (perfecto!), NC15 in Studio Sculpt Foundation(still a bit too dark), 110 in MUFE HD (which is too pink), and Siberia in Nars Sheer Glow (which tends to be too yellow).

Nope, they definitely don't have a standard procedure either with return, nor release dates, nor their back 2 MAC policy... *rolls eyes*
My favourite MA is away on vacation, and I think I spoke with the store manager. I don't know. The whole thing makes me buy more stuff online, I guess - at least you can return things via Douglas online without any problems!

I have bought 3 of the l/s now and really like them. If being completely honest, they do only last on me for about 4 hours but that is still longer than anything else I have tried. I love how after a bit they look matte but dont feel dry like a matte. They do feel creamy.

So these are already available in Helsinki, great!

I've been eyeing Love Forever, Good to Go and Overtime for starters. Love Forever looked gorgeous on Temptalia's swatches and I'm counting on Good to Go if Toxic Tale from VV is too coral for me. Overtime might be too pale for me but I'll check it out if Of Royalty from FF is sold out.

Yes they have been out for a month now, they released the same day as Fabulous Felines.

Overtime looks really pale on Temptalia, it was darker on my hand (I guess because I'm much paler than her). I wouldn't worry it being too pale for you, it's a good muted pink and not whitish at all.
smiles.gif

I bought Love Forever for my mother, she loves bright pinks!
smiles.gif

I will buy the foundation and concealer a little later, when I finish atleast one or two foundations from my never-ending-foundation-stash (seriously, even here I'm too embarrassed to reveal how many foundations I have hoarded...

). But I have enjoyed my samples of these!

Oh, I had no idea they've been available for a month! I guess FF got all the attention in August. Did you happen to notice if they still had FF items for sale?

Ha! I'm also much paler than Christine so Overtime might be better than I expected from her swatch. I'd also love to compare it with Innocence Beware once VV is launched.

Please do share your thoughts of Good to Go when you've tried it!

I'll try Good To Go soon and I'll let you know how I like it!

From FF the majority of items were sold out. The silver, gold and brown liners were still there a week ago. But only few things here and there didn't have sold out-stickers on them.

I bought the concealer. It is my first MAC concealer and I really like it! Hoping to try the foundation once I have some extra $$

Am I the only one who didn't find that this lasted very long? After 3-4 hours I started looking dewy, it wasn't better results compared to other long-wearing foundations.

In fact the only foundation that really last on me is Maybelline Superstay 24hr. I am really sad, the colour selection is so much better at MACs so I had my hopes up for this one.
