i didn't wear a base under it but my lips are definitely stained

Yeah, my lips are still pretty stained and the actual lipstick wore off a while ago...haha. I only had Carmex in between though.

Well, I LOVE everything I bought (Sakura, Boldly Bare, and Candy Yum Yum), EXCEPT the darn Quite Cute l/s. I really thought that I could make it work with the right lip liner but that crap looks like white paste smeared across my lips. ( Maybe purchasing the Ravishing l/s and Secret Identity l/g wil make me feel better )

I would imagine it would! Anything bright pink seems to stain my lips. Spitfire stains my lips especially, but it really does help the longevity of the color. I can literally wear Spitfire all day and it stills looks pretty darn nice. I really don't need it, but I definitely am wanting Candy Yum Yum now! All of you ladies are really rocking it!

I passed Candy Yum Yum right on by... then went back to get it and it was gone. LOL I don't need another pink lipstick though... at least that's what I'll keep telling myself.

It went pink with flash, but it's completely nude in natural light. Most nudes do that to me though... they look fine face to face. I like the way it wears. Keeper.

i caved in and ordered play time

i should really be saving my money especially now that i just joined a gym today and the start up fees came up to almost 300 bucks!
but seeing that youtube vid and her compare it to Up the Amp (a lippie that i really love) i just haaaad to get it. thank goodness for free shipping.

i am officially on a tight budget. no more than 50 bucks on cosmetics a paycheck from now on. even on new mac collections.
Question... it being that i am in love with purple lippes, will it be ok to write Team Purple on my sig? or is that like an initiation thing going on? lol

Awesome! I will do a light pat & smoosh to apply it so as to not scare myself or others

I think I will wear it with a soft eye like Chanels Taupe Delicate eyeshadows and a groovy thin black top lash line only liner

I think I'll do the same the next time I try to wear it.

Thanks for the the video and advice. I wished Quite Cute looked like that on me (. I used two different purple lip liners but still wasn't able to achieve results like that. Maybe the fact that my lip pigmentation is dark (majority brown with slight dark pink undertones) plays a factor. **shrugs**

Quite cute look too sheer and too white ....i wish they would repromote lavender whip....
Play time looks too sheer and similar to up the amp
CYY looks very much like schiap, which I have
Sakura is not as purple with the whole heart thing in the middle!

FAIL!!!!!!!!

I hope I at least get to love the lip pencils

for all those having trouble with quite cute l/s i would suggest putting gloss first on your lips a light pink, purple or even clear and then the lipstick on top, it will thin out the colour and make it more wearable.
oh and the gloss should not be packed with colour i usually put fast friends (hello kitty) or cha cha (scf) , something that has a jelly kind of texture and colour is preferable.

I'm glad that someone liked the quad. It seemed like it was getting a lot of hate lately on how it wasn't all that pigmented. Personally, I didn't mind it but not so much that I didn't buy it.

I am really happy with my haul today!!! My MAC store and both Dillard's Counter are sold out most of the stuff from this collection! It is so crazy! I got what I wanted and it was Candy Yum Yum, Play Time, Playing Koi, Quite Cute, and CUTie Quad! Love love my purchases!! I like the quad very much, even though Goody Goody Gum Drop nees some work but I'll make it work with Fresco Rose p/p as a base. Boycrazy, Azuki Bean and Moshi Moshi are the ones that I like the best! Cannot wait to come up with a look using the quad. Online, I cannot believe that the blushes have not been sold out yet! I keep thinking that they were going to be the first ones to go but I didn't think all but Play Time were going to be sold out so quick!

I couldn't get Candy Yum Yum though. It was sold out by the time I had money for it.

Any suggestions for a close perm. color that I could get to appease myself?

Just now I was thinking maybe I need to get up in a few hours and give CYY another shot. I know my local mac still has it. However, now I have come to my senses. I blame that fleeting thought on sleeplessness. Ingenue, I like the boldly bare/bubble tea pairing. I like BT, the color but the scent, and mostly the stinging is what turns me off. Maybe I'll feel it a little less if there's a liner underneath. I'll give it a shot.

[/quote] A couple of people did comparisons of play time and up the amp and they said the color doesnt look a like so i had to snatch it before its sold out lol. I dont have nars sciap but i heard cyy pulls more pink while sciap pulls blue so i went with cyy. Plus it was cheaper lol
