I was excited to get CYY and wore it for a few hours yesterday. Hubby called it "red" when saw a swatch on my hand, it was in a poor lighting though. Reds are in, he said. It looked stunning on my lips but I kept adding some red lip gloss having nothing clear in my purse, CYY felt drying on its own. Today, my lips are so dry it hurts. I bet you could recreate this shade by patting your pink lippies with a white pigment or a white lippie on top. I remember getting this same shade while playing with Sephora's white lippie. My purpose at that time was creating a lilac shade like Quite Cute. And now MAC came up with it, finally.
Quite Cute is surprisingly less drying than a few older cremesheens I have. Although it is extremely sheer and has an incredible wet sheen to it this time around. MAC might have reformulated cremesheens, yay! Quite Cute is almost the same shade as my beloved Pink-a-dot lip lacquer (a pale bluish violet lilac by MAC from a long time ago), maybe a touch more blue. Together they look amazing and last much longer, just what I wanted!
Playing Koi is very similar to Honolulu l/s by Body & Soul while PK is a touch paler. PK is also similar to Farrah by LORAC but Farrah is way paler and turns into a bright whitish pink on my lips. I was so tempted with PK but decided to skip. I can get very close by wearing In Synch l/l and some clear gloss on top or just wear Honolulu that has a better pigment with some coral hints to it. MAC's Ever Hip was much brighter as compared to PK, not as whitish pale.
The mint nail polish looks so similar to Revlon Minted (85) I had on, maybe just a touch more blue. I also got Revlon's Gum Drop instead of MAC's lilac nail polish, they look quite close.
P.S. And we had an adorable Bunny in his fluffy costume in the mall who would photograph with everyone. The stage was awesomely decorated. I feel so Easter with this collection!
