I'm really loving all the lipsticks on you gorgeous ladies. I just do not feel comfortable in a dark lipstick but would so much like to try one.

Is there a formula that is a little easier to pull of in a darker shade?

Any suggestions?

You can try Cremesheens. They go on sheerer. I think Hang Up is a good one, looks really dark but applies as a berry shade on the lips.

Yesterday I asked this at a counter and they said that probably I won't be able to B2M for retro mattes, but they wasn't sure. I'm so pissed, first they say I can't Back2Mac items that haven't got the B2M logo on the packiging (Eyebrow pencil, and all other items that don't have that f*ckin logo on them) and now this. I'm seriously thinking about talking with someone at MAC about this, this is nonesense... Plastic is plastic, isn't it? :fuse:

Check online and see if it's included in the list as a mail in option. If it is, print it out and take it in and show them.

Will this change your mind? I think it looks amazing on all skin tones

Runway Hit is no drier than the other colors. I wore it all yesterday and only put a little lip balm on before applying and it wore great all day! Very comfortable! I even put my peach brightening lipgloss from Bobbi Brown over it and it really made that lipgloss finally special to me!

I snagged FOD and FB only.  I love the swatches, except Runway Hit, looks dry as a bone, frankly.  It reminded me a bit of fleshpot, color is different, but eraser lips and mummy dust effects are the same.  Pass.  Yes, I realize the finish is different, but not that different from a matte, so I am skipping RR because I have Party Parrot and a bu (may get it later, I love the color, but dupeable IMHO).  Love Dangerous, but I have Scarlet Ibis and it doesn't look that different.  FOF looks very similar to many other hot pinks; I have Hollywood Nights, Pink Pigeon, you name it.  It is beautiful, but just not feeling the need for it.  If we have the straight story and its perm, I can get it later.  I love the PLW pencils, but I have almost all that have come out, none of these are THAT different. I have Hip and Happy, the red one and nude one from Hey Sailor.  I only got FB as a BU to Heroine liner.  And I don't think they are terribly attractive as an all over color, WAY too matte/dry looking.   I really hope FOD doesn't look too goth on me, I am waiting to see how fellow pale girls rock this.  Looks gorgeous in swatches, but on the pale girls, I think its questionable if I have seen a full face shot that really makes it work.  :blink:

Damn, you're not kidding! Everything but Ruby Woo is gone (although all the pencils including FB still there). The UK site is showing Runway Hit, Steady Going & Fixed on Drama of the lippies and Fashion Boost pencil as being LE and everything else as perm, which ties into what was said by Mac on Twitter I think? So that seems to be as clear as it's going to get... Luckily none of the LE l/s interest me. Just debating whether to order FB now or try wait until it's in store. Don't really want to pay postage and there's nothing else I want right now!

) First to the left : lady danger Second left / so chaud 1st right: sail la vie 2nd right : dangerous. The pic doesn't do much justice to the dif and maybe lady danger was redder, so chaud a tad orangier, sail la vie not matte but close.... I'm passing on dangerous because I own already the other three.
