Wow. You just reminded me that a few years ago I was one of the chicks who asked how to cover up the contour of my face and I also got crazy looks from two mua's at sephora. I don't consider it discoloration. You just have to work it and I love that Chanel powder. It doesn't turn gray on me at all.
I'd kill to have that natural contour like that!

Me too!!! My cheekbones do not pop whatsoever, so I feel like when I try to carve them out it looks unnatural. Do you have any tips? Even when I watch videos about it on YouTube it's still hard to get it perfect.

While the topic is under discussion, best brush for applying contour (powder)?

I bought some of Kate Spade's new (Saturday line) retro kinda mini dresses - LOVE! I love anything 60's.

I ordered SG this morning so I'm really happy to read that you love it. I'm still debating on RH???
YOU of all people haven't gotten Runway Hit?????

You are going to apesh1t over it. Don't worry about it running too warm or orange on you. It's glorious!

Also, check out this awesome dress I've been eyeing:

I need to just buy it already!!!!!! And wear it with SG!!!!!!

Notorious is a really weird product. It looks dark, but then when you apply it, it doesn't seem that dark after all, more like mid-tone. Plus it's pretty stiff, so it's only for a super sharp contour line. If you want to soften it, you pretty much have to put another blush on top of it. I usually prefer creams, anyhow, unless the powder is super perfect for my skin tone. Coffee Walnut is my personal favorite - I hope they bring it back some time. I bet that one would work on a lot of dark skin tones, just because of how olive it is.

It's a little unorthodox, but I've found that using an EDSF like Glorify liberally all over the cheeks really brings out my bone structure - not by creating a shadow, but by accentuating the curves and planes of my face. It's worth experimenting with!

Gorgeous pictures, ladies! I tried Heaux for the first time yesterday, and my FOD gets here today. I really like the retro matte formula. I'm thinking I need a good lip brush for FOD, but I don't know which to get.

Men who like makeup on women at all love dark lipstick…..at least until they imagine it smeared all over them - that mental image is the one that really separates the men from the boys, so to speak

I thought it looked great on you! Use a warm peachy blush like Ripe For Love with it and wait for the cooler days to come, worst case scenario.

Noticeably yellow undertones, particularly without any redness in the cheeks or elsewhere.

HOw are you liking Heaux? I am no help with a lip brush, I just dab and smoosh, then use my finger to blend it out...but MAC does have a nice retractable lip brush, can't recall the number, maybe 311???

I received my
mac_boxday.gif
last night. My neighbor was very nice to take both packages in. I was exhausted, so I didn't get to play with my lippies, but just by the looks of them they are beautiful. I'm really liking FOD for the Fall. Relentlessly Red and Flat Out Fabulous both looked very nice also. I am still holding out hope that MAC will make some blue violets in the retro matte formula. Like Go For It.

I love Heaux! I was super lazy and tried it on without priming my lips, but the color is gorgeous. I'm going to try it today with Nightmoth. I think the retractable would be good. I have a lip brush from one of the holiday sets, but it's not great.

I haven't been religiously following this thread so sorry if this has been asked. I received my Fixed on Drama yesterday and this is what it looks like. There is a chunk of waxy substance that seems to have slid off the side to the base. The top part has the same trail of wax. I need Erine's expert opinion (or anyone else's). :( Should I return it?

I'd probably just lightly wipe the wax off and keep it moving. As long as the lippie isn't broken which in that case, I'd be sending it back. Or maybe if it were a gift that I planned on giving to someone I'd send it back. Otherwise, I'd wipe it off and keep moving. Just my opinion.

I just picked up my Retro Matte haul!!! Ahhhhhhh!! The colours are so vivid and gorgeous. I can't wait to swatch and see which ones I love best. I skipped on getting Steady Going, Dangerous and FOD when the collection launched online. I plan to try those ones on in store, and then decide. The more swatches I look at, the more I want Dangerous. Sigh. The life of a lipstick addict...
