For Fashion Night Out on Sept 10th in NYC- Rodarte is supposed to unveil the collection at the Ace Hotel. Now I'm wondering if this will even happen at all!
I was looking forward to Badlands pigment, the taupey lipstick and the blush- all controversy aside.
If Mexico pulled the collection and the collection is to fund and raise awareness to the Juarez travesty- what is the solution?

I know this has probably already been asked & answered, but I couldn't find it: Do we have an exact launch date for this collection? I know there's some question about if and where it will launch, but I'd still like to know the target date if someone has it.

For New Zealand, the release date is 18th October. I'm ordering Badlands and maybe the Pressed Flower lipstick. I found the Juarez travesty quite interesting to read about, seems the Mulleavy sisters were a bit naive and dreamy!

Mac just posted this "Out of respect for the people of Mexico, the women and girls of Juarez and their families, M·A·C has decided not to ship the M·A·C Rodarte limited edition makeup collection. This decision will have no impact on M·A·C’s commitment to donate all of its projected global profits from this collection to benefit the women and girls of Juarez." on their facebook page. I'm really confused about how this collection is offending? And has anyone else heard about it being canceled?

I can't take it anymore. Does anyone know if they are going to sell any of these products anywhere? I know I said I'd leave it alone, but I am having second thoughts. What I really wanna do though is find the secret stash where all of the originally names products are hidden and loot it. Then I can sell extras on ebay and donate the proceeds to the Juarez charity fund. Not really, but it has a Robin Hood appeal doesn't it?

So disappointed.

i just read that this has been cancelled. however they are still donating their predicted profits to the cause which is good of them seeing as they'll end up losing alot of money on this collection overall.

I, for one, am glad this collection was pulled. Release those products later in a new collection with new names. Completely clean slate. I won't be buying it anyway b/c it doesn't cater to people of my complexion, but still.

I agree with you...every collection should have a broad range for all skin color

Maybe I'm not "politically correct" or I'm "insensitive" but I think it is rediculous to scrap the whole thing. I was looking forward to the collection!!! While I understand all the hubbub and controversy and blah blah blah... They changed the names and were going to donate some/all of the proceeds, so I don't know why MAC caved to be all PC and crap like that. They fixed names and all that jazz... So the fact that they STILL ended up deciding to just not do the collection is stupid IMO.
