MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder VS. BE?

I know this may be a silly question, but I was just gazing through the MAC website in search of a new foundation. I'm in love with loose powder foundations, and I'm using BE at the moment, and I saw that MAC had a product called Select Sheer Loose Powder:

Is this product comparable at all to BE minus the fact that BE is made of minerals, or are they two totally different products?

I would say they are pretty different. Select Sheer Loose is a very finely milled, sheer loose powder. It does impart a small amount of color, but has very little coverage. This is more for use over top of liquid and creme foundations.

BE is foundation, Select Sheer is like a finisher to make your liquid foundation matte. I only use BE cuz it's so much healthier for my skin! Haven't tried the select sheer.
