MAC Seminars

Recently when I went in to get my makeup done @ MAC in Nordstroms one of the MA's told me that they will be having a seminar, they will have senior artist come. That there was a $75 fee but you get it back in product. This was going to be held on April 24, here in the Valley, Los Angeles. But stupid me forgot to ask more details about it, and now I think I want to go. Has anyone attended one of this? Or know what it is about? Do they teach you to apply makeup?

My counter has had one seminar and I've signed up for another one. You will LOVE the class! You are in a room with maybe 25 or so people. A trainer or senior artist (we had trainers for the 1st class) will demonstrate a look or two depending on the class. I learned a few tricks and the class was on theatrical makeup. I am not into theater, but it was very useful. I have no idea what the second class will be about. I just signed up.

The MAs will bring around the products that are featured and you put them into your bag. You will probably get a pencil and a folder with paper and face charts. You may also get a list of products that they will focus on. You will then take your bag and pay for the goodies with your entrance fee. It is sooo much fun and soo exciting. I am sure you will learn a LOT and be glad that you went. I hope this helps!

In Paris, for the LA collection, 2 seminars (of 1h30) are organized at Galeries Lafayettes with Gregory Arlt. I'll go to one of them. I will give some more informations.
But in France, this seminar is free!!!

I'm going to the Pro Tour seminar in two weeks! Senior artist Victor C. is going to be there. It's my first MAC event/seminar.

My sisiter in law and I are going to a seminar at Nordies on Apr.8. This will be my second one. It's very informative and fun. I can't wait!

I could be wrong, but I think they're only for MAC Pro members.

nah, it wouldn't make sense for them to tell regular customers about it then.

my counter is having one in a couple of weeks. she said its $50 redeemable in product and they teach you to apply make up "the mac way" is how she phrased it. i don't know my work schedule that far ahead so i'm not sure if i'm working or not on the day its being held.

master classes are for pro members...

mac seminars are for customers.... it's really fun but here on hawaii we onyl had to put down a 50.00 deposit... and we got it back as a gift card to spend right after the seminar we had victor c. because he is assigned to our region and he was awesome... he teaches you how to do a look and what is his fave. products!!! he is sooo fun i swear just go it's really really worth it... ours was about 2 hours!!!!! but all worth it!!!!!!

I went to this pro tour with Victor C awhile back, and it was FABULOUS. Learned lots, and he stayed behind if you had questions you didn't want to ask in front of everyone. He worked amazingly fast, but really described what he was doing well...

And it was so fun to have the shopping inbetween...

And...it was at this lovely event that I was able to meet ever so gracious Marcee, and she told me all about Specktra...the rest is history!

ohhhhhhhhhh I thought by "MAC seminars" they meant "master classes". There's a difference?

yup.... the master classes are for freelancers and learning a whole lot more and what not.... seminars are more for us learning the basics and must haves!!

well usually they tell you... but this time i saw a picture of the pro artist in a frame and i just had to ask about it... but idk about any other way of finding out you should have a live chat to ask about it
