Yep, its flat on top but looking down its an oval with flattened out sides. The texture is heavenly of course!

Re: Skinsheen Discussion

I tried this product on Sunday, and it was "okay" for me. I'm not very fond of bronzing or being tan. hahah...

The product came out "goopy" from the bottle, it kinda reminds me of whip cream, but very little left. haha... Once on my arm, the product bubbled a little, and my MA used the VERY SOFT brush to blend it out. haha..the brush I believe she said was around $60. She said it was water proof as well...

It's nice for those who like the bronze look!

i guess your MUA wasn't paying attention at update, or her trainer told them the wrong info, but it isn't waterproof. its only claim is that its long-wearing.

At my counter the NN testers have arrived, but not the testers for Skinsheen. That's why I guess Skinsheen is going to be released later in May.

It's available online now, but I'm not sure if it's already in stores and at counters, sorry.

because its not ophthalmologist-tested. its not safe to be use around the eyes. plus, there may be ingredients that aren't safe for the face.

Re: Skinsheen Discussion

Yeah Skinsheen is at the counter I frequent the most...

The reason why it isn't for the face is because facial lotions have more complexities to them. They have to use a whole different range of ingredients because something may be good for the body, but your facial skin is more sensitive and not only can it irritate, it can also age your skin. That sounds weird, but it is true...it can really affect the condition of your skin. Also you want to stay away from fragrances in face care. Sometimes it will have some, but if it is added...look out. There are a few exceptions-there are sometimes facial self-tanners and they might have fragrance in it, but they are probably meant to be used in addition to your normal skincare regimen, and they will have a blend of ingredients that makes it safe for facial use.

Sorry for rambling and I don't mean to sound preachy...

Re: Skinsheen Discussion

I bought medium-dark today, also the brush, I liked both very much when I tried it.
Now I´m wearing long white Jeans, and nothing rubbed off

It´s seems that once it dried, it´s not so easy to get off, and it makes my skin really look sun-tanned, as if I would have been at holidays *yeah*

What's your foundation shade? I'm an NC25 and was trying to decide if I should get the medium dark or the dark. Did you happen to try the dark shade?

I have the sixth sense - LOL - I called my MA today and the Skinsheen products had arrived just in time - she had the package in her hands while we were talking!

I am NC 25 and have already tan on my body - my MA recommended Skinsheen in dark for me. She said I could wear all three shades, it depends on how much tan you wish. No shade will look "unnatural" on skin.

So, ladies, Skinsheen in dark for me! Sigh.

Re: Skinsheen Discussion

Can anyone compare the 179 brush to the 185 body buffer brush that came out last year with Glam Gams? It looks very similar, and I already have last year's buffer!

Thanks so much, Susanne! Very helpful. I don't have a tan yet, but that's my goal with the product, so maybe I'll get the medium-dark and exchange if it's not quite dark enough.

Re: Skinsheen Discussion

I actually tried this last week. I am NC45 and used Deep Dark. I really liked it. It comes out like a very light mousse. The MA used the 134 (I think) to apply it. It went on easily and absorbed quickly. I asked if it could be applied using your hands so she tried it out on herself and it applied just as well. I liked the sun-kissed, naturally tanned look it gave my skin. I looked like I'd been out in the sun. I was told that the product was transfer and water resistant (not waterproof).

I think self tanners are great on WOC because many of us have uneven skin tones and this helps to balance everything and give your skin a soft shimmer - very summery.

The 179 is AMAZING. It's soooo soft and dense. If I had $52 (and a pratical use for this brush) I would buy it. The only thing that stopped me from purchasing the Skinsheen was the reality that I could get Jergens Body Glow for much less and it would be just as effective.

Re: Skinsheen Discussion

just a reminder. these aren't self-tanners. they're bronzers. i keep hearing people talking about them as self-tanners.
