Thanks for posting! I'm maybe considering Candy Apple but I need to see more swatches.
Candy Apple was not flattering on my skin at all so hopefully someone will come along that can do it some justice. I have upwards of 250 MAC lippies between glosses and lipsticks and the only ones here are seemed like they could add anything interesting are Gwi-Yo-Mi and Delicious Intent, both of which because I have similar colors but none that lack shimmer like these do. I also managed to talk myself out of Simply Wow because it reminded me too much of Narcissus so its reassuring to hear someone else say the same (in a yay I won't regret not getting that way ...)
Hm. I'm giving some serious thought to ordering Sweet Grenadine and Sour Apple... Love the look of them in the swatch.
Sorry for the typo on the labeling ... it should have said Candy Apply on that second pic. Yesterday was a long day ...
Is Candy Apple the color in the promo? If so I need it! It's vampalicious!
I don't think so ... it doesn't see dark enough or purple enough. To me the promo pic looks like a full layer of Vino lip pencil with Delicious Intent on top, but I could very easily be wrong.

I am sure it is this laptop's fault ... Windows 8 is infuriating and can't multitask to save my life. Thanks for deleting though, and sorry for the extra work ... On to the swatches ... NC15 skin

So I got to see everything and buy it and take it home!

I tried everything, although I didn't buy everything. The supplies were quite limited in the store, so even though there were a few I was really thinking about, I decided to get the must-haves and try them at home and let it all grow on me, rather than going hog wild right up front.

So the gloss tints… This is a really nice formula!!! It feels and looks like a cremesheen glass - some are a little more opaque than others, but for the most part, they are all like the most opaque c/s/g or even the very opaque standard lipglasses. Unlike standard lipglass, the formula isn't sticky. It's also less tacky than the original clicky pen formula. It feels most like csg, but also less sticky and much more moisturizing. Also unlike pigmented csgs, the colors DON'T settle into the lip lines or feather along the edges of the lips, which is fantastic! Finally, unlike all the other MAC lipglasses, you can blot these down to remove the glossy surface but not disturb the actual color!! This operates the way the Mineralize Lip Balms do, so you can control the amount of shine, but without making the color patchy. Unlike the MLBs, the colors are much much more opaque. For anyone who was wishing there were some opaque and bright MLBs, here you go! This product is for you!! Also like the MLBs, these are extremely gentle and hydrating, even after blotting and wearing for a while. Not drying in the least and actually quite moisturizing feeling, even though they're not billed as being moisture balms. They are in my opinion well worth the $20 price tag. They feel more like how I'd expect some of the $$$ glosses from Dior or YSL would be.

The bright colors are the nicest ones in this collection. While the softer colors also behave very very well on the lips, they don't really look as original and they tend to be a bit sheerer than the brightest ones. This is the only reason I held back on not getting more right then and there, but I am definitely considering going back for a few more, now that I've had the chance to wear them all day.

I bought Glorious Intent, Blushing Berry and Kiss Kiss. One thing to note is these colors allegedly react to your skin's Ph, so it's quite likely the colors aren't going to look the same on everyone equally. I'm NC15, just like Angel Bunny, but they sure look quite different on my lips than they do in her swatches.

Glorious Intent is the deepest color, on me a very good year-round plum with a reddish purple cast. It's a very very stylish color, the same sort of reddish magenta like we saw with Strong Woman and we're seeing in the Retro Matte swatches of Fixed on Drama - there are varying levels of purple in these colors, but there's always this reddish magenta plum thing going on. Very flattering and not super vampy. Really beautiful blotted down. Actually, all the colors are gorgeous blotted down
heart.gif

Blushing Berry looks like a straight, flat out blue red with plenty of va va voom. It's very similar to the red lipglass from Hey Sailor, but not thick and sludgy looking. This is going to be my most easy to wear and comfortable opaque red gloss for sure, since my other ones tend to feel much heavier on my lips than other colors in the same gloss formulas. I'm thinking about a BU, especially for the stain.

Kiss Kiss looks like a pinker and warmer Impassioned on me. It doesn't look like peach at all - I have no idea where that description even comes from. It honestly looks like Astral csg looks in the tube, as brilliantly bright. Of course Astral doesn't look as nice and bright on the lips, but Kiss Kiss does! Some of the other colors in this collection are very reminiscent of the Heavenly Creatures csgs too, so if you loved those in the tubes but wished they'd looked as bright on the lips, you should check these out.

I also was very tempted by Bubble Gum, which is quite like Fashion Scoop, just a touch warmer. Fashion Scoop is definitely one of my most favorite csgs, but unlike it, Bubble Gum doesn't settle in the lip lines AT ALL. I passed on it in the store because I've still got FS and some other similar glosses. It's not exactly the most unique color. I am probably going to go back and get it anyways, though, because the texture is superior.

Simply Wow was the same feeling in the store - it was a little sheerer than some of the other ones and looked close to Narcissus, but maybe a little pinker, brighter and not as unique - it reminded me of Playtime lipstick from Quite Cute, with a bit less pink. It's another one I think I will go back for, though, because if it changes how it looks in daylight, the way the other ones I bought did, it's going to be nicer than I originally judged. Also when I was in the store, I had Exotic Ember blush on, and that is a really strong color that pretty much clashed with a lot of these softer shades. Honestly many of these shades are more spring-like and/or are going to be extra-flattering when you don't have a tan going on. Pale NWs are going to have field day with these colors, but they're not hard to wear if you're deeper or warmer - just will have to consider what blush you have on in combination, I'd think.

I didn't pounce all over Gwi-Yo-Mi and K-Wow because they were very pink. Again, I was NOT wearing the right blush for sure, plus I haven't been feeling pink lately. I'm going to reconsider Gwi-Mi-Yo, though for all the same reasons as Kiss Kiss - reminded me of Galaxy Rose's tube color. It will be a color I will be able to get more use out of later this year. It was excellently bright on the lips. So was K-Wow, but that was probably too cool in combination with how pale it is for me and my red lips and middle age hehe. Younger gals will love it.

I can't recall if I tried Heart & Seoul and didn't care for it, or if I accidentally didn't try it. One of the MAs I know there, who is a very pale NW, said it was one of the ones she loved best, so that's something to consider. If you're trying any of these in person, don't be wearing some dark brown blush or major bronzing powder and you'll get a better idea! My bad!
thud.gif

All in all, this is a stealth product if there ever was one. A little "what's the big deal?" on first perusal, but with use, quite excellent and superior to many of MAC's other gloss formulas. Oh and FYI, you don't have to click the clicky pens five jillion times to get them started like the last batch, which is a real relief - that was super annoying with the old ones. If you like the idea of a two-in-one product you can wear as a wetly shiny gloss or a soft, moist, but not glossy, stain and are OK with straight forward colors instead of mega-high fashion colors, or require a really gentle, hydrating product that's not harsh on the lips, you're going to feel like you have spent your money well with these! Here's hoping this isn't one of those one shot collections where we will never see these products again, because I could seriously give up on cremesheen glasses in exchange for this formula, which is saying a lot.

I'll post about the sheen supremes in another post.

So this was a nice batch of Sheen Supremes. All of them were much more opaque than some of the older ones. The colors were cute, but mostly shades we have seen here and there before, though, so your mileage is going to vary.

I'd been interested in Pret-a-Pretty, but it was too pale for me and my Exotic Ember blush. It was the least smooth of all the ones I tried, but that is possibly because I grabbed it and started slathering it on before the alcohol had completely evaporated. It's got a lot of white in it - weird color to release in the height of summer…would have been better in spring or even winter for someone with my coloring. If you are pale enough or dark enough to rock a very pale lip, this will be worth a glance, but I think I prefer Luxe Natural Mineralize lipstick.

Candy Apple was a nice MLBB shade - it's like Apres Chic combined with Offshoot. It's got the same exact texture and opacity of Apres Chic, but gentler on the lips. I didn't get it because I just have too many similar shades right now to justify it, but it was definitely tempting. If you don't have Apres Chic, Fire Sign, Offshoot or One of a Kind, you will want to check it out. It's not too red or too brown or too plum - it's just right, like Goldilocks and her porridge.

I'm getting a little mixed up with the names on Pleasurefruit and Playtime. The descriptions just don't cut it and our swatches so far are kind of different compared to how these looked on the lips. I did try the paler bright pink on - it is BRIGHT. It's as bright as Candy Yum Yum - a little less blue, but mega-bright. All you CYY fans will love it. It's also very opaque and not as glossy looking as a lot of Sheen Supremes - it was about as matte as a Sheen Supreme gets. I've got plenty of CYY and honestly haven't been wearing this type of pink much this year, but it certainly looked good on me, so if any of you feel like CYY is too cool toned or just somehow off for you, this one might be better, since you all know how sallow I can be, plus throw in all that Exotic Ember all over my face today.
girlhaha.gif

Now I'm starting to spazz out as to whether I swatched the other pink on my hand only - I just can't recall if I tried it on my lips or not. I think I must have written it off as another warm bright pink and figured "why bother". I was not in the pink zone in my mind today (again, Exotic Ember was fighting me). I have Full Speed already, which is brighter and more coral than this one (Pleasurefruit, I believe). If Full Speed seems too bright or orangey, this one may be a lot better. I think on some people, especially NWs, this is going to be an awesomely nice color, a little punchier than just a MLBB. I'm going back tomorrow to get more of the Gloss Tints, so I will check it again and update here - I will make sure there is no Exotic Ember on my face, lol.

I DID immediately fall in love with Sweet Grenadine!!!!! Even with all those orange lippies from AAO, this color is STILL unique and just beautiful. So feminine and unique, soft but also bright and cheerful, not just another day-to-day color, but a color you can wear for all different occasions and look special, without going overboard. It's really smooth and pigmented - the best type of Sheen Supreme, like all of these except Pret-a-Pretty (and like I was saying, even that one might be a better texture than I was thinking, since it still had some alcohol on it). It's like a softer, gentler Sushi Kiss, but with a warmer cast - but just barely. Gorgeous - very happy with it.

I left this thread, but just wanted to pop on and say the glosses aren't a stain like someone mentioned earlier. They are, however, mentioned online as being personally adjusted by your skin's temperature, so everyone will have a unique colour :dunno: i guess that's the main difference compared to the previous product that shared the exact same packaging with a very similar name.

I've got to disagree with you on some of this, here.

While they don't operate like a straight stain (and that's a good thing!), they blot down to excellent stains, or tints or whatever may be the best word. Stain works for me as the term to use, but perhaps there's a better one? The texture is pretty drastically different from the old clicky pen formula too - it feels somewhat the same on application, but it's less tacky (the old ones would get pretty tacky as they dried down) and muuuuuuch less sheer and also not drying, like the old ones were after you'd wear them a while. Major improvements all around.

I guess i should be specific cuz the word "stain" is used interchangeably in the makeup world like the word "base" is. I've heard people call the double-ended PLW lipsticks stains cuz they wear all day, and they are most definitely not stains, they're long-wearing lipsticks. It gets confusing when people use different words for different products. A stain is a product that's intended to have colour remain for an extended period of time after the product is no longer there. That's what i mean when i say this isn't a stain.

They definitely still feel like you have a balm or the like on your lips after you blot them down. The official stains I've used were much more weightless on the lips - like water that had dried down. These new ones are not as transfer-proof as the stains I've used, but they do stay on without a lot of transfer after blotting. Also unlike a lot of stains, these don't show every little flake and imperfection on the lips, so that's another good thing. They're not matte even after blotting like the stains I've tried (though there have been some less matte stains out there in the past, if I recall correctly, like from Stila - haha, maybe those were called tints???)

I will say, the staying power of these is just crazy compared to other MAC glosses, again especially after blotting. My Blushing Berry is going strong even now after 4 hours - no sign of letting up any time soon. The color has stayed really bright too - I bet that's the Ph thing.

It'll be interesting to see how well these sell compared to last time. They definitely have more colour payoff and are different from each other that's for sure! Last time they were way too sheer and they all looked the same!

YAY! I said I wanted these to be like CSG from heavenly creatures.
And a more opaque MLB... geez Liba... stop spending my money.
Do they slip of as easily as CSG? IF not, I'm buying them all. I was going to skip Simply Wow, but so love playtime lipstick.
