Check videos on YouTube. They take a bit more time than the old quads but are mostly the same process as the pots.
I have just watched one video of someone who tryed to depot a Fafi-pallette and almost ruined one of the shadows - I think I was more nervous than she was.. ;)

I´m skeptical because I dont want to ruin the shadows and the new pallette seems so much more solid than the old ones (and the singel shadows) :S

They are more solid! You have to work slowly. I think I've deported three new quads and two duos of the new style. I used a flat knife to wedge out the back and then held each circle over a tea light candle one at a time, and slowly. I had a pen on hand to poke the back do the melted circle.. If it didn't feel gooey, I put it back in the flame. Once I had the pan even remotely past the edge of the palette I used my pen to gently push it face down on to a soft towel. The pots are wayyyy easy if you have a flat iron though.

I didn't wear much makeup on my vacation - usually just sunscreen, a paint pot/mascara and a CSG. Oh, and a touch of blot powder here and there but more often I used blotting sheets. It was far too hot for a full face of makeup, primer or no primer. I did make a point of reapplying sunscreen noonish each day, but it wasn't enough. I just tan very easily. Maybe I needed more than SPF 45. None of us burnt so it obviously was effective, but I tanned way more than the rest of the family.

My routine moisturizer has SPF20, but I doubt I apply enough to really provide good sun protection. So far I've not had any dryness as a result and since I'm at the office most days it provides enough protection. It probably helps that my skin is combination oily to begin with so dryness has never been an issue for me. I keep waiting - at this rate I'll still have oily skin at 50!
Instead of blot powder, you might want to try Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral Powder (SPF 30 or 45). It also exists for oily skin and it's very handy to carry around. It's on the expensive side (give the amount of product), but it usually lasts me a two-week vacation.

I was really bummed I wasn't invited to a party but now I'm looking forward to swatches. There is no way I can wait until my appointment on the 24th to buy products if it goes up before then. I may have to cancel that appointment. Have fun at the parties everyone and be sure to post swatch pics!

The new quads ? How do you do it ?
Hm...I'm not sure what style they were but they were a couple of years old (at least). I had two that I got in Fashion Cares loot bags in Toronto and I depotted them reasonably easily this spring; I don't remember any problems and nothing broke or cracked. I'm trying to remember how I did it, but I know I followed a youtube video. As I recall, the hardest part was taking the plastic 'cover' off; not the clear case cover but the one that goes over the four shadows. I used a small eyeglass screwdriver for that. Can't recall the rest, but I would have if it had been complex. I usually depot using a 2" flat iron, tin foil and a large darning needle to poke through the plastic base. Not sure that's what I did with the quad, but it's likely.

That looks great! I wouldn't use it on a daily basis but it's perfect for a vacation. I'd rather spend $30-40 bucks than tan, that's for sure. Thanks. :)

I'm also on Team ugly olive!

But I wonder if the Superslick liner in Desires and Devices would be close...
Anywho, I'm also getting Hidden Treasure and I'm on the fence about the red lipgloss. I already own Wicked Ways and I wonder if Ready to Roam would be similar. I'd originally wanted Camden Chic but it looks a tad too brown for me and I don't want to pull a chola look. XD Fashion Nomad is calling my name but it'd make my teeth look horrendously yellow.

I love how epic the events are!

I'm not a copper/gold/bronze/olive/orange type person so maybe that is why I'm not interested in this collection.
These are my colors! Love it. I think the cute coral looks more wearable than I thought. I'm suddenly interest in the orange lipglass too. Great pics! It's funny when I signed up for the event at my store the MA said they were all mauvy colors.??? Huh?? I think this is a mainly warm collection.

LOL yes I said that. Actually, the Cute Coral looks darker than I thought. I thought it might not show up like anything on me. But I'm wondering if the pics look a little dark and the colors really are lighter. Hopefully, I can skip Cute Coral. I have been a blush fiend lately.

i know,my mothers bathroom is bigger than my mac store and they have only had one event the glitter and ice one. the asian ones look like the back stage of a fashion show or why not the freaking run way!!

by the way only supercontinental blush (the cute one) for me. im not feeling the lippies and totally hate the duos. i messed the shadows in my depotting experiment when they first came out!
