MAC style seeker

I think I might have figured out another way to make that creamy mess (AKA Camden Chic) work. I've always liked the colour but it's so freaking soft it feels like a lippie that's been delivered on a 90 degree day. I tried out an ombre look tonight - not my usual style but I first applied Razzledazzler and then lightly applied a red liner and patted on Camden Chic as the deeper colour. I think it's growing on me.

Seriously though, are all mattenes this soft? I think it needs to be kept in the fridge.

SO, I thought this collection was a total skip for me. BUT the joke was on me! I went into MAC today just to pic up eye makeup remover and somehow walked out with W&F, MAP, Supercontinental, and Restless. I had thought it was all going to be too warm for me...but man when I swatched Chessa I just lost all cool-toned resolve and buckled right under the warmth. Such a bizarre and beautiful orange-gold! I ran home and tried out a look with all of it (not W&T yet) and added 2 colors from Spiced Choco Quad and used Hyperviolet as a liner, and I am totally in love!
And Restless is divine! I guess it has been like half a decade since I have worn rich colored lipgloss (instead of mauvey nudes or corals), and I am SO ready to go back there! And Supercontinental is such a gorgeous bright peach on the cheeks, so much pinker than it looks in the pan.

I feel lucky that I happened upon all of that in person, although my wallet does not agree.

I just got Supercontinental from this collection. I couldn't resist it, even though I already have enough blushes to last a lifetime. I skipped the eyeshadows because I don't like duo palettes

I just really love this collection. I am so ready for summer to be over honestly. It's still freaking hot in so cal and my ac isn't working so I just melt day in day out. Luckily, I have a room unit in my room but still yuck. I wound up hauling more from this collection than I though I would. I wound up with: Camden Chic, Eden Rouge, Fashion Nomad, Delectable, Hidden Treasure, Worldly Wealth, Dark Diversion, and Local Wares. Yikes, seems like more when typed out lol. I am looking forward to the new collections but I enjoyed this fall one.

Don't be afraid of the brown that comes with Chessa - it's a very versatile matte!

Try to stay cool! It's supposed to get crazy hot the next few days, so get out of the house and go hang out in air conditioned zones as much as you can. I loved this collection too since it's feels very Indian Summer, rather than just straight autumn, which is what we're dealing with here in So. Cal for sure.

I like it smudged underneath the eye with Raven kp or Below Ground GPS in the water line. It's also really great for contouring the eye from the crease and winged up under the brow bone, because it stays crisp if you want a defined line. Heck, I like it all over the lid and into the crease and use Chessa on the brow bone up to the brow. It's a good partner with a lot of MES too, since it's a simple and earthy matte that's in the same tonal family as most of the HC MES. It's perfect with Aurora and Invincible Light. I want to use it in the crease with Water or Sky, too.

I love them (MAP) both. Yesterday I made a subbtle eye with them and Brule.

They are just the right shades on me (not too neutral).

But on a side note, I have never experienced this with any other MAC product. From day one I have felt that this Style Seeker collection was tempremental in this regard. Others have said not to use fingers in the eyeshadows as well...when I swatched in the store, I had the same issue. The testers were hard to get any color payoff from them. It is so strange to me! But you nailed it right on the head I think with the brushes! Something with oil has come into contact withmy blush and made it like those store testers...has to be it!

If the brushes aren't rinsed well in the cleaning process, soap residue can be a problem also. I wonder how many powder products I have gotten that I didn't know about this problem (residue on the surface and scraping it off would fix the finish) that I tossed or traded away when I could have revived them. I shudder to think...

After I received my MAP I actually let it sit for a few days because I was having a bleh week but once I started using it, oh my! I have used Indie Spirit with Tease and Booty Call from UD Naked 2 (IS as crease, Tease all over lid and Booty Call for highlight/inner corner) as one of my favorite simple looks, and IS over Chessa is AWESOME. You lose the matte effect, of course, but the two colors layered make this awesome browny medium reddish color (basically what I wanted On the Hunt to be for me!)...I can't even describe it! I'll have to do it on my arm and take a picture for you all soon.

SC is a really pretty blush. i was thinking about a BU but then i want to get one for launch away too and i already have a bu for immortal flower. there's something about coral blushes, no one can skip them with out remorse!!
